telecommunications and solution engineering.\nLocation: Remote, United States\nWork Hours: Must be available to work during Mountain Time business hours\nWhat You'll Do: \nSolution Design & Technical Support\nAnalyze customer requirements and help identify Zayo products and services that align with their technical and business needs.\nCreate network diagrams, service visualizations, KMZ files, and other technical documentation to support customer solutions.\nUse GIS-based systems, previous solution designs, Zayo product knowledge, and customer requirements to evaluate and support unique requests.\nPartner with Solution Engineers to develop solutions that support current and future customer applications.\nGather, organize, analyze, and present relevant technical and financial information for internal and external stakeholders.\nAssist with foundational network design activities across fiber and data-networking solutions.\nEnsure technical documentation is complete and accurate for supported customer opportunities.\nSales & Proposal Support\nPartner with the Solution Architecture and Sales organizations to support customer opportunities throughout the solution-development process.\nPrepare technical diagrams, solution documentation, sales presentations, and other customer-facing materials.\nAssist with proposal responses and the development of cost-effective technical solutions.\nProvide technical support and guidance throughout transactional and standard custom solution opportunities.\nCollaborate with Sales, Engineering, Technical Operations, and other teams to help move customer opportunities toward successful completion.\nProject Coordination & Development\nEstablish, manage, and communicate timeline expectations for assigned requests and projects.\nProvide regular updates to internal stakeholders, including Sales, Engineering, and Technical Operations.\nManage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail.\nDevelop knowledge of telecommunications, network engineering, Zayo products, and solution-design processes through hands-on learning and mentorship.\nStay current on relevant industry and technology trends.\nMaintain a high level of professionalism, collaboration, and accountability.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nExperience, education, training, or demonstrated interest in telecommunications, networking, engineering, technical support, technical sales, or a related field.Recommended: at least 2 years' experience in technical sales engineering/support role(s) within the telecommunications industry (ideally ISP, CLEC, ILEC, VAR, or MSO) \n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to nontechnical audiences.\nStrong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in learning how technology can be applied to solve customer needs.\nAbility to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong collaboration and teamwork skills.\nWorking proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.\nA willingness to continuously learn and develop technical knowledge.\nAbility to work during Mountain Time business hours, regardless of geographic location.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience\nPrevious experience in telecommunications, technical sales, sales engineering, networking, engineering support, or a related technical environment\nFamiliarity with fiber-optic networks and network design concepts\nExposure to Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 networking concepts\nFamiliarity with networking technologies and services such as Ethernet, LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN, WDM, and internet connectivity\nExperience with tools such as Salesforce, Google Earth, ESRI, MyWorld/GE Smallworld, or other GIS/network-mapping platforms\nGeneral understanding of fiber-optic network design and implementation\nExperience creating technical diagrams, visualizations, or customer-facing technical documentation\nPrevious experience supporting technical sales, telecommunications, engineering, or customer solutionsMAN technologies and structures (including DS-x, OC-x, WDM, and Ethernet) \nData networking technologies, functionality, and services (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN) \nHigh-level understanding of Fiber Optic network design and implementation \n\nEstimated Base Pay Range: $24.76 - $26.70 USD/hour\nThe base pay range
