In this role, you will plan computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. In addition, you will build and manage the environment to operate in, improving the technical landscape and effectiveness of the data platforms across the data team.This role is a minimum of 3-days per week on-site in Zebra's Mississauga, Ontario, Canada office, 2 days remote.\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy at Zebra Technologies.\nJob Responsibilities:\nEnsures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries.\nEstablishes and maintains security and integrity controls.\nFormulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.\nProposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.\nProvides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and quick resolution of routine problems to ensure database infrastructure and platform stability.\nTakes responsibility for and participates in the support of hosted data platform and related services.\nParticipates in architecture discussions, influences product roadmap, and takes ownership and responsibility of new projects.\nMaintains and supports existing platforms and evolves to newer technology stacks and architecture.\nJoins and works on a team that is responsible for the technical vision and development of platform components of the next generation bureau platform\nDelivers right solution architecture, automation and technology choices starting from experimentation and proof of concept phases of platform models.\nMay include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.\nMay be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions\nQualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree Required.\nMinimum 8+ years of work experience.\nMinimum 4+ years of experience taking decisions, building, and managing data related infrastructure.\nSolid experience with core physical DBA responsibilities for Oracle 19c or newer RAC on Linux/Unix, including software installation, database creation, patching, performance tuning, backup, and recovery\nExpertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration, including upgrades, migrations, and application support\nProven proficiency with the full lifecycle of Oracle WebLogic Server, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading Required\nStrong experience in Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting\nExperience in building custom tools to automate or monitor large-scale distributed systems\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAdvanced degree preferred\nExcellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and prioritize tasks to meet team goals\nExperience in Oracle iSupplier module , preferred.\nProfessional Oracle Certifications (e.g., OCP, OCA, OCI Architect, WebLogic Server Administrator).\nExposure to Containers and Kubernetes, Dynatrace, Hashicorp Vault, GenAI\nUnderstands cloud-based data platform technologies and applications\nFamiliar with configuration management and orchestration tools such as Flexdeploy,\nDemonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.\nAbility to flex and willingness to work on different projects\nStandard DBA responsibilities backup, performance, maintenance, patching\nExperience with Oracle Cloud Applications such as Fusion, EPM, or OTM.\nExperience with the broader Oracle Middleware technology stack (e.g., SOA Suite, ODI).\nHands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture.\nA solid understanding of modern, cloud-based data platform technologies.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nZebra is an equal opportunity employer.
