This person helps develop, validate, test, and integrate software and hardware\nproducts in the pursuit of cost-effective and market-ready solutions to customer challenges. Guided by\nmore senior colleagues, this person contributes to technical analyses, planning, and design efforts that\nmay identify products/solutions for roadmap consideration. Work is accomplished with some direction\nfrom the manager or senior colleagues\nServe as experienced vision technical resource and initial escalation point for internal and\nexternal stakeholder teams\nAddress key challenges related to the performance of our organization’s products and solutions in\nspecific application scenarios.\nEvaluate product performance and usability challenges in order to identify the core issue and\neliminate the problem\nCollaborate with sales, engineering, and product management teams to communicate resolution\nand ensure fixes are validated and become available in a future release\nProvide analysis and input on how products/solutions can best meet or exceed customer/partner\nbusiness requirements, as well as on how they perform/compared to competitive options\nAssist in the planning and analysis of strategic customer projects to ensure that they are\neffectively executed. Ensure appropriate Zebra products/features are incorporated in order to\nmaximize customer benefit and business value.\nHelp manage and maintain company vision labs, as well as remote testing infrastructure, in order\nto ensure the ability to respond to product/solution challenges and opportunities rapidly and\neffectively.\nRepresent the product management organization as a technical customer/partner contact; often\nassist with application deployments with the guidance of more senior colleagues.\nMay be asked to engage with product management colleagues to communicate market needs\nand inform and influence some aspects of the product portfolio and roadmap.\nContributes to the development of technical training\nDevelops and documents solution deployment processes as needed and communicates to stakeholders\nDesigns/architects system demonstrations to ensure that products/solutions are represented in a\nhighly professional and effective manner at internal and external events.\nFor high priority opportunities, may be asked to assist sales team/partners with deployment\nand/or testing on site at customer location.\nProvides moderate Tier 3 technical support for partners/customers, escalating more complex\nchallenges to senior colleagues.\nJob Requirements:\nMinimum Education:\no Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical engineering or in a related field is required\nMinimum Work Experience (years):\no 5+ years of experience working with fixed industrial scanning and/or machine vision solutions and commensurate knowledge of technology, products, and marketplace\nKey Skills and Competencies:\no Hands-on electrical engineering experience including working with schematics, wiring,\nhand tools, etc.\no Hands-on experience with machine vision, computer vision, or image processing\nincluding setting up cameras, lensing, lighting, filters, focal lengths, etc.\no Knowledge of manufacturing and/or logistics processes and environments a plus\nLicenses/Certifications, special qualifications:\no Experience with Windows OS’s such as Win7/Win10\no Experience with Linux OS and common Linux toolsets and scripting languages\no General understanding of mechanical, electrical, and industrial automation systems\no Certified Vision Professional - Basic a plus\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nZebra is an equal opportunity employer.
