The engineer will be responsible for developing products from concept phase to production release. A key responsibility of this senior role is also to proactively investigate, learn, and implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to innovate our engineering processes and drive significant gains in efficiency.This role is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of three days per week in our Holtsville, NY or Germantown, MD office. Zebra reserves the right to modify your work location based on business need.\nEstablishes requirements for moderately complex Electrical design projects.\nCompletes all phases of moderately complex Electrical design projects including system design/Power Supply analysis, circuit design, thermal analysis, simulation, schematic, layout and Electrical circuit validation.\nProactively research, evaluate, and implement emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to continuously improve EE design, testing, and system optimization processes\nPerforms EE analysis and simulation for design, optimization and debug\nGenerates schematics using Cadence Allegro schematic capture and supports PCB layout.\nDrives and/or Supports customer and cross-functional issue debug for system level issues\nDrives EMI/EMC trouble shooting and validation at product level.\nWorks with internal cross-functional teams and external JDMs/CMs to successfully bring Handheld products to market\nDrives EE lab capability development and works with Lab team on test strategy and new technology capability\nWorks cross-functionally with RF, Antenna, Mechanical engineering, SW engineering and System Test on system design, test plan development and issue debug\nApplies existing technology in new ways to improve performance and productivity\nConsider latest technologies and new approaches to improve designs and implementation of the design.\nReviews changes or upgrades to existing applications\nMay develop new tools and processes to aid in the analysis and solving of problems as well as efficiency improvement\nPrioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of EE projects\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and 4+ year experience or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ year experience\nExperience in Analog and Digital circuit design, memory design and signal integrity\nExperience with generating schematics using Cadence Allegro (or similar software) schematic capture and supports PCB layout.\nExperience working with internal cross-functional teams and external JDMs/CMs to successfully bring RFID products to market.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working with embedded microprocessors/Microcontrollers such as ST Micro STM32H750 type devices and associated SDRAM and Flash Memory\nWIFI, Bluetooth, RF experience a plus\nExperienced with PSPICE and familiar with FPGA and using C, VHDL/Verilog\nExperienced with or willing to learn basic RF, Compliance requirements and mitigation of EMI, ESD, Immunity issues.\nKnowledgeable about USB, Ethernet, serial interfaces, audio and video interfaces\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nZebra is an equal opportunity employer.
