By maintaining and updating our core lab environments and developing automated test suites, you directly contribute to the quality and reliability of the connectivity modules inside millions of Zebra devices globally. Your work will directly expand our value proposition, ensuring that our mobile hardware remains the industry benchmark for wireless performance and seamless enterprise-grade roaming.\nLocation: Role is based in Holtsville, NY - Hybrid/3 days onsite\nResponsibilities:\nEstablishes requirements for less complex Android networking software components and network protocol stack designs. \nWorks on Completing all phases of software engineering design and WLAN testing projects.\nWorks on analysis of test processes and delivers results to necessary stakeholders. \nAnalyzes test results and recommends solutions for wireless performance. \nWorks on developing expected results on a variety of Zebra mobile products. \nDevelops documentation for new projects (including functional test plans and requirements) and reviews previous results.\nWorks with latest technologies and new approaches in automated and manual WLAN testing.\nReviews changes or upgrades to existing designs or tests. \nExercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments. \nQualifications:\nMinimum\nBachelor’s degree in engineering - Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering.\nSolid understanding of WiFi 802.11 principles and functionality. Must be able to speak to topics including Wi-Fi roaming logic, security protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.\nExperience with embedded systems and Android Automation using Python, Perl etc\nPreferred:\nBasic understanding of machine learning concepts (training, validation, overfitting, evaluation metrics)\nProficient in defining the Wi-Fi solution test setup, installing, and configuring to meet multiple enterprise use case.\nFamiliar with Android debugging capability and able to pull logs, read logs and narrow down the area of problem.\nCapable in handling Wireshark and omni peek wireless sniffer tools to capture wireless packets and analyze the network and device problems for various 802.11 protocols.\nProficient in installing and configuring different Wi-Fi infrastructure access point and wireless controller from Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, Ruckus etc.\nQuantitative and problem-solving skills. \nLocation: Role is based in Holtsville, NY - Hybrid/3 days onsite\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nZebra is an equal opportunity employer.
