If you are passionate about pioneering AI-assisted workflows, mentoring engineering teams, and shaping the future of customer experience at Zebra, then this role is for you.\nResponsibilities\nAgentic UI & Frontend AI Integration: Lead the design, architecture, and development of highly interactive, AI-first frontend systems and custom interfaces using modern frameworks backed by LLM capabilities, accelerating the software development life cycle and reducing time to market.\nIntelligent Automation: Architect and develop intelligent bots and re-usable AI modules to ensure seamless alignment across complex databases and existing enterprise applications.\nEngineering Excellence: Act as the technical anchor for an Agile Scrum team. Lead architectural design sessions, establish coding standards, and implement AI-assisted developer workflows to multiply team velocity.\nTranslating AI to Business Value: Serve as the technical translator between engineering and business stakeholders. Confidently analyze, evaluate, and communicate how modern AI tools can solve complex business problems and improve ease-of-use.\nEscalation & Resolution: Provide confident, timely technical leadership during problem resolution and customer escalations, ensuring the highest level of trust and operational excellence.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent of 3+ years of practical experience gained through industry roles, professional experience, or applied AI software development.\n5+ years of experience as a software engineer/developer in an Agile environment, with a proven trajectory into technical leadership and modern application architecture.\n1-2 years AI development experience with LLMs, and AI code centric models like Cursor, Claude, GitHub Co-Pilot.\nModern AI & LLM Tooling: Hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Claude) via REST APIs. Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and prompt engineering.\nAI Front-Focused Development: Deep expertise in modern frontend ecosystems, specifically React JS, TypeScript, and modern CSS/HTML, with a focus on building dynamic, state-heavy, responsive web applications.\nBackend & Integration: Strong foundation in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful Services, and MVC architecture to effectively bridge AI frontends with robust enterprise backend systems.\nLeadership & Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to actively listen, articulate complex architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders, and act autonomously.\nDeveloper Productivity: Experience leveraging AI developer tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate coding, debugging, and testing.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAgentic Frameworks: Experience building autonomous agents, \"Agentic UI,\" or implementations involving Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).\nLegacy to Modernization: Experience migrating or integrating with legacy Java technologies (JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, JPA) while building net-new modern frontends.\nCloud & DevOps: Experience with Cloud frameworks (Amazon Web Services preferred) and secure, automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Maven, SonarQube, Tenable).\nData Systems: Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, and an understanding of how to align data structures for AI consumption.\nProcess Automation: Previous experience transitioning traditional Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into intelligent, AI-driven bot workflows.\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nZebra is an equal opportunity employer.
