The Senior Engineer is responsible for the stability and performance of the applications, and for code quality metrics including unit test coverage, limiting code smells and incorporating security best practices. The role works directly with Product and the SVP to close on requirements.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDesign, develop and maintain Android and iOS mobile applications and in-house hosted web portals.\nEnsure the performance, reliability and functionality of applications across a range of OEMs and OS versions.\nOwn refinement and estimation of strategic product roadmap items and produce a deliverables roadmap.\nWrite clean, maintainable and efficient code; develop and maintain technical documentation.\nDebug and troubleshoot issues in the applications.\nStay up to date with the latest developments in the Android, iOS and web development ecosystem.\nDrive code and design reviews, ensuring code quality, correct LLD and unit test coverage.\nPropose and drive engineering best practices and contribute to engineering excellence.\nWork with product and design teams to translate product requirements into an extensible technical solution.\nMentor and participate in the technical growth of junior developers working alongside the SVP.\nRun stand-ups and sprint grooming sessions with product counterparts.\nOperational - as an Individual Contributor.\nDeliver product tasks agreed within sprint scope on time.\nWrite model code that is production-ready from the outset.\nStay close to the competitive technology landscape.\nDebug production issues arising from app or web performance, or crashes.\nPeople and Process Improvement.\n\nRequirements: \nMore than 6 years of experience building performant and stable B2C apps in at least one of React Native, Android Native, ReactJS or iOS Native.\nStrong experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Sentry and Crashlytics.\nExperience partnering with product to tune requirements and PRDs.\nTrack record of releasing B2C apps to the Play Store and App Store.\nExperience overseeing release of web portals with a sound understanding of backend system architecture.\n6+ years of app and web development experience.\nExperience building native Android apps for highly scalable B2C use cases.\nPredictable delivery of product features within agreed SLA, with high-quality code and extensible design.\nStability and performance of apps across form factors, OEMs and OS platforms.\nSystematic incorporation of engineering best practices in the team.\nStability and availability of in-house web
