following:\nTechnical Leadership:\nLead and mentor a backend team of 3-4 engineers, providing technical direction and code reviews.\nArchitect, design, and implement distributed backend services with high availability and reliability.\nEnsure high code quality, maintainability, and engineering best practices across the team.\nDrive continuous improvement in performance, scalability, and system stability.\nDelivery and Ownership:\nOwn the end-to-end lifecycle of features from requirement gathering through production deployment and monitoring.\nCollaborate closely with product, DevOps, and frontend teams to ensure alignment on technical solutions.\nTroubleshoot production issues and participate in the on-call rotation when required.\nTeam Building:\nContribute to hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation of team members.\nKey Performance Measures:\nPredictable delivery of product features within the agreed SLA, with high-quality code and extensible design.\nAvailability, reliability, and performance of backend services in production.\nTeam throughput, code quality standards, and adoption of engineering best practices.\nMentorship impact and growth of the engineers in the team.\nRequirements:\n6-8 years of backend engineering experience, including team leadership.\nStrong backend development experience using Java and Node.js .\nExpertise in designing and consuming REST APIs, with familiarity with microservice architectures.\nSolid experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including schema design and performance tuning.\nHands-on experience with Redis (caching, pub/sub).\nWorking knowledge of Kafka, message streaming, and producer/consumer design patterns.\nExperience with containerized deployments using Docker and familiarity with CI/CD workflows.\nUnderstanding of distributed system concepts such as the CAP theorem, eventual consistency, and fault tolerance.\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.\nFamiliarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog.\nExposure to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and event-driven architectures.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong ownership and accountability with a product-first mindset.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management.\nAbility to balance hands-on coding with leadership and mentorship.\nProblem-solving attitude with a focus on delivering outcomes, not just
