The field service technician will be a crucial team member as we continue to execute our growth strategy. This position will be perfect for you if you have a strong mechanical and diagnostic aptitude to provide support for our mobile security towers and to push the company forward. Zedcor has an office based out of Calgary, AB, however, this is a field position working on equipment throughout various parts of Alberta.\nKey Responsibilities\nInspect and repair towers before departing to the site.\nManage all on site installations, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.\nDetermine and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on site.\nDiagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.\nDeliver and pickup towers when needed.\nProduce timely and detailed service and equipment reports.\nAdhere to safety daily requirements from Zedcor and customer sites.\nFollow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.\nCooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.\nComprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.\nBuild relationships with customers.\nPerform other duties as requested.\nQualifications\nStrong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, and electrical systems is a must.\nMust be able to operate a service truck for maintenance and service on surveillance light towers\n3-5 years’ experience in equipment maintenance and repairs equipment.\nProven field service experience.\nAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.\nExcellent verbal communication skills.\nSelf-starter, driven, and motivated to work independently with little oversight.\nMust be willing to work in the shop when not on the road.\nExperience working in a fast-paced competitive environment that is results-driven.\nValid Class A - CDL Driver License\nPositive attitude and team player.\nHigh sense of urgency and customer service driven.\nPhysical Demands\nOutdoor work - exposure to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, etc.)\nAbility to regularly lift 50lbs\nComfortable with climbing and working at heights from time to time\nComfortable with driving long distances\nComfortable with working on construction sites - exposure to noise, dust moving equipment, Etc.\nComfortable with wearing various forms of PPE\nCompensation & Benefits\nHourly range: $25.00 - $28.00\nHealth, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance (after 90-day probation)\nWhy Join Zedcor?\nAt Zedcor, you won’t just maintain systems, you’ll help build and shape the future of security technology.
