This role requires a dynamic and motivated individual who excels at connecting with the market, pursuing, and gaining new business, whilst developing partnerships with our customers within a team-oriented focus. Self-initiation, self-organization, follow-through and shows a sense of urgency are qualities required for this role.\nExperience in sales and product training, optical dispensing, orthoptics or optometry is advantageous. The ability to clearly communicate through all staff levels of our customers’ businesses is important. Working together with a strong team of; customer service, professional development, marketing, and business support, you will be required to ensure our customers continue to receive the best solutions and support.\nThis full-time role is in field based, (not office based), requiring the BDR to be well organised in territory planning and implementation. Daily activities include travel within the territory, face to face meetings, virtual meetings, and education sessions (including via phone, digital). Travel across New Zealand and to Australia is required with occasional extended hours events and weekend events such as trade shows.\n· Proven experience as Professional Sales, Business Development\nRepresentative, Customer experience / service or similar role\n· Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and hands-on\nexperience employing multiple sales techniques\n· Tertiary education in business, commercial or optometry along with\noptometrist, orthoptist or optical dispensing are highly desirable\n· Excellent questioning skills, communication, negotiation skills, analytical\nskills and ability to deliver engaging presentations\n· Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce) and working knowledge of MS\nOffice suite is essential, especially Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint and\nOutlook.\n· Valid passport, driver’s license, reliable motor vehicle and able to travel\ninternationally and across New Zealand.\nWhat’s great about working at ZEISS\n· Competitive salary and commission scheme\n· Discounted lenses and other optical products\n· Employee Benefits Program with access to hundreds of everyday savings at\nover 9,000 locations\n· Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\n· Supportive, family friendly working environment\n· Foundation owned organisation\n· Work at ZEISS and leave your mark in this world.
