Electronics Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of advanced electronic systems used across sophisticated microscopy platforms.\nYou will work closely with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to develop robust and reliable hardware solutions that meet demanding technical, safety, regulatory, and performance requirements.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of electronic technologies, including:\nAnalogue electronics\n\nDigital electronics\n\nMixed-signal systems\n\nHigh-voltage circuitry\n\nPrecision measurement systems\n\nEmbedded hardware and microcontroller-based designs\n\nControl and interface electronics\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop analogue, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits.\n\nDevelop precision, low-noise, and high-voltage electronic solutions.\n\nCreate and review schematics, PCB layouts, and electronic architectures.\n\nSelect components and manage electronic hardware throughout its lifecycle.\n\nSupport simulation, prototyping, board bring-up, verification, and validation activities.\n\nPerform debugging, fault diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.\n\nUtilise laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analysers.\n\nWork with external compliance and certification bodies to ensure products meet industry regulations and standards.\n\nSupport EMC, electrical safety, RoHS, UKCA, CSA, SEMI, and EN61010 requirements.\n\nDrive engineering changes through ECR/ECO processes.\n\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and manufacturing readiness.\n\nCollaborate with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and production test facilities.\n\nProduce technical documentation, specifications, test reports, and design records.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across products and engineering processes.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential\nDegree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\nMinimum 3 years' industry experience in electronics design and product development.\n\nProven experience developing analogue and digital electronic circuitry.\n\nStrong understanding of schematic capture and PCB design principles.\n\nExperience with microcontroller-based hardware and embedded interfaces.\n\nStrong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.\n\nKnowledge of verification, validation, and product testing methodologies.\n\nUnderstanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT).\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\n\nDesirable Experience\nWe would particularly welcome candidates with experience in:\nScientific Instrumentation\n\nSemiconductor
