Make a difference, come join the team!\nWhat's the role?\nUnder general supervision, the Distribution Center Lead supports the DC Leadership by ensuring warehouse end to end process : inbound, order management and outbound shipments are prioritized, regularly communicating performance goals and standards so that team members understand expectations, communicating employee performance opportunities, deficiencies, and ideas to the manager, interacting with carriers, handling incoming freight and support order management and shipping areas . Team lead will primarily work in one or more of the following areas: inbound , order control, receiving, inventory, shipping, and training.\nSounds Interesting?\nHere's what you'll do:\nDevelop\nManage daily workflow of inbound/outbound activities on Lens Care Orders\nComprehensive knowledge of High Jump /SAP and other related systems\nComplete end of day reports VTS Sales\nLEAN knowledge/activities and on-going operational improvement in VTS area\nEfficient methods to ensure all resources, including personnel, are maximized\nAnalyze\nLens Care Output of department (using Microsoft Excel and other tools)\nTime management of inbound deliveries/shipments on VTS products\nDocument\nMaintain Appropriate records with regards to SOP’s\nReport errors in stocking, miss picks, & miss shipments\nProvide comprehensive transfer of information between shifts.\nEnforce SOP’s and document deviations of process or personnel as needed.\nOrders for same day shipments\nTime management of shipments\nEquipment\nEnsure all equipment is maintained according to Zeiss standards.\nDocument and report any deviations\nMaintain clean and safe working environments (6S compliance\nFollows safety standards and reports any safety concerns to leadership\nDo you qualify?\nHS Diploma or equivalent\nForklift WMS required / Forklift HighJump SAP preferred\n1-2 years of relevant experience required, 3 years preferred\nAbility to motivate through Strong Effective leadership.\nEffective communication\nEnergy and enthusiasm for production and problem solving.\nStrong initiative and follow-up skills.\nTime management skills.\nAbility to multi-task.\nDemonstrated communication and interpersonal skills\nRequires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for prolonged periods, climb, reach, crouch, operate a forklift and pallet jack, and perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities.\nManual dexterity, basic math skills, and good vision are required.\nRequires two to four years’ experience in cycle counting, customer service, shipping, dataentry functions, POD/tracer, receiving, order administration/control, picking, restocking, and quality control/checking.\nDemonstrated proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing programs, experience withSAP software, and demonstrated ability to work effectively under deadlines and varied jobpressure.\nWe have amazing benefits to support you as an employee at ZEISS!\nMedical\nVision\nDental\n401k Matching\nEmployee Assistance Programs\nVacation and sick pay\nThe list goes on!\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time position.\nThe pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.\nThis position is also eligible for a performance bonus.
