Make a difference, come join the team!\nWhat's the role?\nLead Lab Technician is a senior level position. Under minimal supervision where operations and sequences are specified by written and verbal instructions and established practices, the Lead Lab Tech will perform a wide range of tasks ranging from routine to more advanced or difficult tasks associated with the lens manufacturing processes. The Lead Lab Tech will also help with supervisory responsibilities.\nSound Interesting?\nHere’s what you’ll do:\nThis position will have a variety of tasks within the department with minimal supervision. Must have solid to advanced optical knowledge. Cross training will be required within the lab and may include:\nMaintaining appropriate production reports.\nUnderstanding of lens coatings.\nUnderstanding of optical equipment and troubleshooting.\nIntermediate level lens inspection.\nKnowledge of DVI operating system (or compatible).\nAbility to consult with customers on various issues.\nPurchasing / receiving of lenses and / or frames.\nInvoicing and billing.\nTinting of lenses.\nProduce drill mounts.\nPackage sorting and shipping.\nOrganizational skills.\nBlocking, spot, taping and foco.\nRx ordering and data entry.\nPerforms routine, semi-routine, and complex production duties associated with various aspects of lens production paying close attention to quality, quantity and efficiency. Refer to the Job Matrix for further departmental specifics.\nQualifies and inspect product to ensure compliance with CZV specifications and standards.\nEmploy troubleshooting techniques to determine cause of instrument failure and implement repairs where necessary\nComplies with all safety regulations as well as maintains a clean and safe work environment.\nMaintain appropriate written and/or computer documentation.\nGenerally assigned certain tasks within a specified department but has knowledge to perform majority of the tasks within a specified department.\nProvides work direction and assists with supervisor responsibilities.\nMay receive cross training in other departments.\nMaintains a clean working environment.\nFollows safety standards and reports any safety concerns to leadership.\nDo you qualify?\nFull knowledge of at least one department and basic knowledge of the entire lab Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time\nAbility to troubleshoot and resolve issues\nMust be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time\nBe able perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities.\nRequires ability to sustain lengthy periods of visual concentration and good hand/eye/foot coordination. \nGood communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment.\nHave the ability to focus
