Senior Software Engineer (Coating Machine Software)

Your Role

Around 80% of the world’s microchips are produced with ZEISS technology. Asthe heart of every electronic system, these chips power smartphones, smart homes, and smart factories. ZEISS leads in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, providing precision lithography optics, photomask systems, and process-control solutions to enable smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient chips.

By ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technologies (SMT), you will be responsibleforhigh-quality software development as part of a well-functioning agile team, review code commits, mentor junior colleagues, design and implementCI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with the software architect, requirements- and other senior softwareengineer.

The role of Senior Software Engineerwill involve:

• Develop high-quality software solution as part of a well-functioning agile team;

• Review code commits;

• Mentor for junior colleagues;

• Design and implementCI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps;

• Technical alignment with stakeholdersand architects;

• Work together closely with software architects,requirement-and softwareengineers.

Your Experience

• A degree in business information technology or a comparable qualification;

• Confident handling of C# and .NET 8and above;

• Confident handling of WPF;

• Experience in modular software design and/or plugin-architecture is beneficial;

• Experience usingWCF and GraphQL frameworks is beneficial;

• OOP, SOLIDprinciples, software design patterns (GoF).

It would be desirable if you had:

• System thinking mindset: able to understandand implement complex plugin-like software architectures;

• Good command on English and/or German both written and spoken.
