It is fully onsite, 5 days a week.\nWhat’s the role?\nThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for safety, leadership, operational performance, and continuous improvement of the warehouse and the team. Part of this role is leading daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely movement of materials and products for our production floor. This role oversees receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, team performance, process improvement, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.\nThe Warehouse Manager is accountable for creating a highly collaborative environment across Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Finance to ensure seamless execution of customer orders and efficient product flow throughout the organization. This position will be based at our new offsite warehouse and will manage the warehouse staff as well as the material flow back and forth with the production warehouse management team.\nIn addition, this role champions ZEISS core values and culture by partnering with internal and external partners for effective and timely communication and problem resolution.\nSound Interesting?\nHere’s what you’ll do:\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nManage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, returns, put-away’s and staging.\nEnsure optimal warehouse layout and space utilization for new and existing parts for product lines that are arriving domestically and internationally.\nUnderstand, maintain and improve kanban processes and flow with the production team on the floor, partnering with their teams to ensure stock is filled and part numbers maintained.\nOversee cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies in SAP.\nMonitor warehouse key performance indicators such as order accuracy, picking productivity, on-time shipments, dock-to-stock time, inventory accuracy, and safety performance.\nPartner with the Fulfillment Operations Manager at the onsite warehouse to ensure materials are delivered timely to the production floor.\nTeam Leadership & Coordination\nProvide leadership, coaching, training, and professional development for the reporting team.\nEmpower and motivate employees via feedback, improvement initiatives and recognition.\nEnsure employee performance meets all established requirements regarding policy and procedure adherence.\nPlan and execute training and development of direct reports.\nExemplify ZEISS values (Serve, Empower, Act, Win) and help to build and lead a high-performing team.\nContinuous Improvement\nLead Lean initiatives focused on waste reduction and operational efficiency.\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement, including workflow changes, equipment uses, automation, lean practices, and cost control.\nImprove warehouse productivity and fulfillment processes.\nStandardize work procedures, work instructions and implement best practices.\nUtilize operational metrics to drive performance improvements and help create, implement and drive new metrics.\nDo you qualify?\nBachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain, business or related field, OR equivalent experience of 7+ years\nMinimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role.\nMUST have a minimum of 3 years of SAP ERP warehouse-specific experience\nDemonstrated success leading cross-functional teams\nExcellence in the following skills:Written and verbal communication\nService orientation\nAttention to detail\nTime management\nTeamwork\nProblem solving\nSelf-motivation\nAble to work autonomously\n\nPrior SAP ERP implementation experience preferred\nIntermediate experience using Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)\nWorking Conditions:\nAbility to work in a warehouse or distribution environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise, equipment traffic, and standing or walking for extended periods.\nAbility to lift, move, or handle materials as required by company policy and applicable safety guidelines.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, track their progress and meet deadlines.\nMay require occasional overtime, weekend, or off-shift work based on operational needs.\nMust be able to wear PPE including but not limited to steel-toe shoes, gloves and a hard-hat in certain areas.\nMaintains professionalism standards and codes of conduct, acting as a representative and extension of the ZEISS brand - always reflecting ZEISS core values.\nThe annual pay range for this position is $83,000 - $103,000 and eligible for a performance bonus.\nThe pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.\nWe have amazing benefits to support you as an employee at ZEISS!\nMedical\nVision\nDental\n401k Matching\nEmployee Assistance Programs\nPaid time off including vacation, personal, and sick days\nThe list goes on!\nThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for this job.
