About the Role:
The IBI Technician is responsible for conducting operations utilizing drones and wheeled vehicles, various payloads, and Zeitview’s proprietary software to collect imagery for critical infrastructure. The primary function of the incumbent is to ensure the industry leadership of Zeitview image and data capture. Aspects include safety, remote operator training, mission planning with Ops Coordinators, forecasting equipment requirements & specifications, regulatory compliance, company policy, technology development/testing, and logistical support. This person must be able to work independently in field environments as well as help with training or other special projects when requested.
Responsibilities:
- Perform internal data/image capture on wind turbine blades using crawler and humanized methodology (manual/assisted inspection), according to the project scope.
- Provide field support to subcontractors during internal inspection operations (crawler and humanized), ensuring adherence to safety procedures and standards.
- Perform pre-evaluation/pre-processing of collected material (crawler and humanized): check coverage, focus, lighting, sequence, file integrity, and any required quality parameters.
- Validate and corroborate the quality of data/images captured by subcontractors, requesting corrections/recaptures when necessary.
- Organize, label, and forward validated material to the analysis team, ensuring traceability (turbine/blade/face, dates, field observations).
- Provide detailed and meaningful feedback to the product and engineering teams on Zeitview or other OEM technology.
- Determine collection strategy for projects based on the requirements of the project.
- Plan and assist in the development of operations training and workflows.
- Communicate with local stakeholders to determine operational requirements
- Travel to and from remote job sites throughout LATAM.
Qualifications:
- Experience handling internal inspections of wind turbines and blades.
- Written and spoken fluency in both Portuguese and English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certification - required
- CNH - B (driver's license) - required
- ART certification - strong nice-to-have
- Microsoft Office package proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while also meeting rigid deadlines.
- Experience with implementing and managing client Scope of Work (SOW) objectives.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and individuals and come to a consensus.
- Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Be willing to work at high levels.
- Able to work in outside environments year-round.
