The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, microservices, SQL, and modern cloud-based application development.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core.\nDevelop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices following industry best practices.\nParticipate in solution design, technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.\nBuild reliable integrations between applications, databases, and third-party systems.\nWrite clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.\nTroubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis for production problems.\nOptimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.\nImplement unit testing and automated testing to maintain high code quality.\nWork with SQL Server and write optimized queries, stored procedures, and database objects.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated deployments.\nCollaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to coding standards and engineering best practices.\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver features within committed timelines.\n\nRequired Skills\n\n7+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in the Microsoft technology stack.\nStrong programming experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.\nHands-on experience with ASP.NET Core, Web API, REST APIs, and Microservices.\nStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.\nExperience with Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core.\nStrong experience with SQL Server, relational databases, and query optimization.\nExperience with Unit Testing frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest.\nKnowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\nGood communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.\n\nGood to Have\n\nExperience with Azure cloud services.\nKnowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD.\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes.\nExposure to messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.\nExperience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.\nKnowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization using OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect / JWT.\nExperience working on high-volume transactional or payment applications is an added advantage.\n\nCommitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging\n\nAt Zelis, we champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all aspects of our operations.
