Our hiring process is designed to attract and retain A-players from diverse backgrounds to help drive our success.\nWhat we offer:\nFlexible working hours and remote/work-from-home option\nHealth insurance coverage from day one at ZenHR\nAccess to online and in-person Mental Health sessions\nA Zen work atmosphere\nGreat culture and amazing people to work with and learn from\nThe Job - Accountant\nWhat you'll be doing:\nManage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.\nPrepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation.\nMaintain and reconcile the General Ledger.\nPrepare monthly bank and cash reconciliations.\nManage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.\nFollow up on customer collections and supplier payments.\nReview invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts for accuracy and proper approval.\nPrepare monthly financial reports and accounting schedules.\nAssist with month-end and year-end closing activities.\nPrepare payroll accounting entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts.\nMonitor employee advances, expenses, and other receivable/payable balances.\nEnsure proper recording and reconciliation of fixed assets.\nAssist with budgeting, cash-flow reporting, and financial analysis when required.\nPrepare and maintain supporting documentation for audits.\nCoordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external parties when required.\nEnsure compliance with Egyptian accounting, tax, VAT, and social insurance requirements.\nAssist in preparing and submitting tax declarations and other statutory requirements.\nMaintain organized and complete accounting files and records.\nIdentify accounting discrepancies and resolve them in coordination with the Finance Manager.\nPerform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.\nWho you are:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nExperience: 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced or growing organization.\nAccounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting practices.\nEgyptian Regulations: Good knowledge of Egyptian accounting, tax, VAT, and social insurance requirements.\nSystems: Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting systems.\nExcel & Reporting: Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills with the ability to analyze and reconcile financial data.\nAttention to Detail: Highly organized with strong attention to accuracy and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.\nCommunication: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.\nTraits: A proactive, reliable, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their work.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth scale-up and play an important role in supporting ZenHR’s financial operations in Egypt.\nReady to transform the future of HR in Egypt?
