Teams at more than 10,000 companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Dell, IBM, Slack, eBay, EY, Nokia and Clay, rely on Zenrows to turn the web into a reliable source of data for their products, workflows and AI-driven applications, across e-commerce, finance, real estate and AI.\nAs we continue our rapid expansion, we are now looking for our first Developer Relations Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, make an instant impact and build our DevRel function from the ground up.\nThe Role \nNobody has ever done this job at Zenrows and that’s the exciting part! You’ll be our founding DevRel, which means there’s no playbook or legacy processes to inherit, and nobody telling you how it should be done. You get a blank canvas, real ownership and the freedom to build and scale the function from scratch the way you think it should be built.\n What You’ll do\nWorking alongside our GTM team, you’ll combine your technical advocacy and community skills to build credibility and help developers discover, experiment with, and integrate Zenrows. Ultimately adoption is the goal and success will be measured on that. We want Zenrows to be a name everyone recognises.\nAs the face of Zenrows, you’ll be out there in the real world. You’ll give talks, run technical workshops, and collaborate with relevant developer communities. You’ll also own our hackathon programme. Which ones we sponsor, where we speak, and being there on the day, talking to the people building cool things with our tools.\nEngaging with the online community is equally as important. When you’re back at your desk, you’ll drive discussions where developers already hang out, such as Reddit, X and Discord. You’ll create videos, demo content, templates and sample apps, plus open-source projects, GitHub contributions, starter kits and developer integrations. You’ll show developers what’s possible with Zenrows and get them experimenting. \nThis role is as much about listening as it is about telling. Taking what you’ve learned, you’ll also handle the feedback loop between the community and the product and engineering teams.\nZenrows already integrates with hundreds of tools that developers love. Our goal is simple and ambitious: make Zenrows part of every agentic developer’s stack.\nWhat We’re Looking For \nNobody is equally brilliant at everything. We’ll lean into your strengths and grow the function from there.\nYou’re technical, first and foremost. You don’t need to be a hard core developer but you can write Python, JavaScript or similar. You’re comfortable with APIs/SDK, AI agents and can build demos, apps and integrations with the product yourself. \nYou’ve got demonstrable technical and community-building experience. You’re confident on camera and the stage, and have a public body of work you’re proud of. We’d love to see your videos, talks, demos, repos or posts.\nYou have a track record of running events, talks or community initiatives. We want someone whose passion is clear and is active in AI/agent developer ecosystems such as GitHub, Reddit, Discord, Hacker News, Stack Overflow.\nYou’ve built developer ecosystems, open-source initiatives or technical communities from scratch, and you know how to get noticed without a big brand or logo behind you.\nYou measure success in impact, not just reach. You’re driven by API integrations, open-source adoption, and community engagement converting into active customers\nBeing the only person in the function excites you rather than scares you! In the end, this is yours to own and you’ll need to be comfortable making big decisions and running with them. \nYou’re a skilled technical writer. Documentation is mainly owned by engineering but you’ll also be expected to contribute in time\nBonus points if:\nYou already have an audience of your own.
