Rationalization & Transformation\nLead assessment and rationalization of existing reports, identifying redundancy, consolidation opportunities, and decommissioning candidates\nDesign a target-state reporting architecture aligned with self-service BI principles\nPower BI Development\nBuild interactive dashboards and reports enabling slicing, dicing, and drill-through analysis\nDevelop paginated reports for pixel-perfect reporting needs (regulatory, operational)\nImplement complex DAX calculations, KPIs, and semantic models\nOptimize report performance using best practices in data modeling and query optimization\nData Modeling & Integration\nDesign and consume curated data models from Snowflake (Gold layer) for reporting\nWork with data engineering teams to define data transformations in dbt (Silver → Gold)\nEnsure consistency between source-to-report data lineage and business definitions\nSelf-Service BI Enablement\nEnable business users with governed datasets and reusable semantic layers\nDefine and enforce Power BI governance standards (workspace strategy, naming conventions, versioning)\nPerformance & Optimization\nOptimize Power BI datasets, queries, and dashboards for performance and scalability\nImplement incremental refresh, aggregations, and efficient data models\nEnsure efficient usage of Snowflake resources for reporting workloads\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\nTechnical Skills\n6-10+ years of experience in BI/Analytics with strong Power BI expertise\nStrong hands-on experience with: Power BI Desktop & Service\n DAX, Power Query (M)\n Paginated Reports (Power BI Report Builder / SSRS)\n\nExperience with Snowflake data platform and modern data architectures\nFamiliarity with dbt for data transformation and modeling\nStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts (Raw, Silver, Gold layers)\nExpertise in data modeling techniques (star schema, dimensional modeling)\n Domain Expertise\nExperience in Insurance domain
