We are seeking a Senior Pega Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Pega platform deployment and administration on Private Cloud environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in externalizing Pega services such as Kafka and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, containerizing Pega applications, and deploying solutions on AWS-based private cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Pega Platform infrastructure in Private Cloud environments.
- Configure and manage Pega externalized services including:
- Apache Kafka
- Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
- Deploy and administer containerized Pega applications using:
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Amazon EKS
- Helm
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Configure and manage highly available Kafka environments including:
- Topic management
- Partitioning and replication
- Security (SSL/TLS, SASL, IAM, ACLs)
- Monitoring and troubleshooting
- Manage OpenSearch/Elasticsearch clusters, indexing, retention, and search optimization.
- Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
- Support production environments, incident management, performance tuning, and disaster recovery activities.
- Collaborate with application, DevOps, security, and architecture teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of overall IT experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on Pega Infrastructure/Cloud experience.
- Strong knowledge of Pega deployment and administration on Private Cloud.
- Experience externalizing Pega services such as Kafka and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Apache Kafka / Amazon MSK
- Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
- AWS Cloud Services
- Docker
- Kubernetes / Amazon EKS
- Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, certificates, and access controls.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Pega Containerization.
- Experience deploying Pega on Kubernetes-based platforms.
- AWS certifications.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK/OpenSearch.
- Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and enterprise security practices.
