Role Summary JOB DESCRIPTION The Wintel Engineer is responsible for managing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing Windows-based infrastructure, including Windows Servers, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and related technologies. The role ensures high availability, performance, security, and operational efficiency of enterprise IT environments. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments. Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and File Services. Perform server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning. Monitor server health, performance, and capacity. Troubleshoot and resolve Windows infrastructure issues. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies. Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions. Coordinate with application, network, security, and cloud teams. Ensure compliance with IT security standards and audit requirements. Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
