Android Developer

We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for the end-to-end mobile application development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and designing technical solutions to development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with our existing mobile developer, product/business stakeholders, and other technical team members. The ideal candidate should be strong in native Android development and also have practical experience with Flutter/Dart.

Responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end ownership of Android application development and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.
• Develop and enhance cross-platform applications using Flutter and Dart.
• Understand existing mobile application architecture and improve it where required.
• Convert business requirements and UI/UX designs into reliable mobile applications.
• Integrate REST APIs, third-party SDKs, and external services.
• Implement secure, scalable, and maintainable mobile application architecture.
• Debug application issues and resolve production bugs efficiently.
• Monitor and improve application performance, stability, and responsiveness.
• Manage Android application builds, signing, and production releases.
• Publish and maintain applications on the Google Play Store.
• Work with Firebase and other mobile services where required.
• Implement analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and other mobile capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Use Git for source-code management and collaborative development.
• Write technical documentation for important features and application components.
• Work with product/business stakeholders to understand requirements and suggest technical/product improvements.
• Take responsibility for the complete mobile development lifecycle from requirements to production.
• Stay updated with Android, Kotlin, Flutter, and mobile development best practices.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in Android application development.
• Excellent knowledge of Kotlin.
• Good understanding of Android SDK and Android application architecture.
• Experience with Android Studio.
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs/SDKs.
• Understanding of Android UI, navigation, lifecycle, and background processing.
• Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and crash resolution.
• Experience publishing applications to the Google Play Store.
