Role Description

The English Language Instructor role is a full-time position delivered through a hybrid format (combining on-site classroom teaching at our branch in Alexandria, Egypt, with interactive online sessions).

The instructor will plan and deliver engaging English lessons—covering grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing—aligned with the academy’s curriculum across both physical and virtual learning environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lesson Delivery: Prepare and deliver high-energy, interactive English lessons tailored for both on-site classroom settings in Alexandria and online teaching platforms.

• Curriculum & Materials: Develop structured lesson plans, digital resources, and multimedia learning materials suited for hybrid instruction.

• Assessment & Feedback: Assess learners’ progress through periodic evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

• Inclusive Classroom Management: Foster an inclusive, motivating classroom culture—whether in-person or online—and adapt teaching techniques to accommodate diverse proficiency levels and learning styles.

• Collaboration & Innovation: Participate in staff training workshops, collaborate with fellow instructors to refine teaching practices, and contribute to the development of new course content and interactive activities.

Requirements

Qualifications & RequirementsMandatory Requirements:

• Location: Must be currently residing in Alexandria, Egypt (or able to reliably commute daily to our Alexandria center for on-site classes).

• Teaching & Classroom Management: Strong fundamentals in English Language Teaching (ELT) with the ability to manage diverse learner groups across both physical classrooms and online environments.

• Educational Fundamentals: Solid understanding of instructional design, lesson planning, learner assessment methods, and active learning techniques.

• Language & Communication Proficiency: Near-native or highly proficient spoken and written English skills to model accurate grammar, pronunciation, syntax, and vocabulary.

• Writing & Content Development: Strong writing skills to craft clear teaching materials, assignments, quizzes, and detailed student evaluations.

• Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication skills, high empathy, cultural sensitivity, and an encouraging personality that builds student confidence.

• Academic Background: A degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field.

Preferred / Plus:

• Experience: Prior experience teaching English in a classroom or virtual language academy setting.

• EdTech Tools (A Plus): Hands-on experience with Google Classroom (assigning work, tracking grades) and Zoom Meetings (breakout rooms, interactive whiteboard, online session management).

• Certifications (A Plus): Professional ELT/ESL certifications (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent) are highly valued bonuses that will give your application an advantage.
