Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Programmes, and suppliers, this individual will help maintain a resilient and high-performing supply chain, enabling the successful delivery of cutting-edge aerospace technologies and supporting ZeroAvia's mission to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission flight worldwide.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nManage end-to-end procurement activities, including purchase order creation, supplier quotations, order tracking, expediting and ERP system management to ensure material availability and programme delivery.\nAct as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers, monitoring performance and supporting supplier onboarding, development and risk management activities.\nSupport procurement planning for prototype builds, testing, certification programmes and production readiness, ensuring timely supply of critical materials and components.\nCollaborate with Engineering teams to source technical products and services, interpreting drawings, specifications, BOMs and engineering change notices to identify suitable suppliers and manufacturing solutions.\nEnsure compliance with AS9100, quality and regulatory requirements by maintaining supplier documentation, material traceability and records required for certification and audit activities.\nDrive continuous improvement through supply chain development, cost reduction initiatives, process optimisation, supplier performance reporting and support for ZeroAvia's transition from development to production.\nRole Requirements\nHNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or a related discipline, with at least 5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain roles or equivalent procurement experience with strong technical grasp of Engineering/Manufacturing principles.\nProven experience operating within aerospace, defence, automotive, advanced manufacturing, energy or other highly regulated industries, supporting prototype, development or low-volume production programmes.\nStrong understanding of procurement, purchasing and supplier management processes, including hands-on experience managing suppliers and purchase orders within ERP/MRP systems.\nDemonstrable experience in commercial negotiation and contract agreement - including scope of work, framework agreements, and the sourcing of modified, made-to-spec and bespoke components.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation, with knowledge of processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, electronics assembly and aerospace manufacturing.\nKnowledge of quality, compliance and traceability requirements, ideally within AS9100-regulated environments; experience with supplier audits, NPI programmes and Part 21 organisations would be advantageous.\nBenefits\nWhy Join Us?\nWe want to help you be your best self, at work and at home, that’s why we provide our employees with…\nPrivate health and dental care - get access to services and support when you need them.
