Zero Homes is a home electrification company headquartered in Denver, Colorado, and founded in 2022 by Grant Gunnison. The company uses a phone app to run a virtual assessment of a house, then produces a heat pump design and fixed quote with applicable rebates and tax credits already applied. It coordinates the installation through local contractors, also covering water heaters, induction cooktops, electric vehicle chargers, and panel upgrades across several United States states.

About Zero Homes

Our mission is to rebuild American communities through healthy, affordable homes.

At Zero Homes, we operate on a simple premise: when you make contractors successful, homeowners win. The current home services industry is fragmented, complex, and opaque, which is frustrating for homeowners and exhausting for contractors. We are changing this by building a home upgrade marketplace that enables a simple, central, transparent process for homeowners and contractors to complete projects.

Through our platform we handle design, quoting, procurement, and customer service, allowing our contractor network to focus on what they do best and make them money: delivering projects. For homeowners, this delivers a predictable, high-quality, and transparent experience-transforming home upgrades from a source of anxiety into a seamless experience. Our vision is to create a world where homeowners and contractors in all 50 states can leverage our platform to execute thousands of projects every week within the next 36 months.

We work by a clear set of values:

  • Be a "can kid," not a "can’t kid": We own our outcomes and go to extraordinary lengths to solve problems.
  • Go fast, be clear: Speed is our advantage, and we sweat the details to deliver an extraordinary customer experience.
  • Customer & Contractor Obsessed: We have a deep, personal understanding of the work to be done. We stay curious about our contractors' craft and the stories of our homeowners.
  • Win, as a team: We are building an iconic business that will reinvent the industry, and will do so together.

If you are ready to build a world-class consumer experience that genuinely rebuilds American communities, come build with us.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a talent dense team at an early stage company, led by seasoned tech and operational veterans. This role will define these products, shape the projects, and drive the execution to bring them from 0 => 1.

What You Bring

You are a thoughtful product generalist with strongjudgment. You have experience driving product work from discovery through delivery, and you are comfortable balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives. You know when to rely on your instinct and when to rely on the data. You have at least 3 years of professional product management experience, ideally in a fast moving software environment.

You find users fascinating, and are invigorated by the challenge of creating delightful user experiences. You love talkingto users, synthesizing patterns across conversations and behavior, and creating structured artifacts that help the team understand what matters.

You always anchor your work on user needs, and are excited to meet users where they work, whether in the office or in the field. You lovestepping into messy situations, framing the problem, identifying what matters most, and helpingthe team make progress without perfect information. You know how to bring structure to uncertainty without overprocessing it.

You manage conflict and coordination well. You invite diverse perspectives, engage in respectful debate, and help teams make decisions quickly and thoughtfully. Once a direction is set, you commit and help others move forward.

You are skilled at project shaping and execution. You know how tobreak complex opportunities into smaller projects, identify the key tradeoffs, and ensure value delivery, even ifincremental. You know that product clarity is a competitive advantage, which grows through daily feedback loops between the team and users.

You are enthusiastic about in-person work. You love collaborating with teammates and converging on solutions in real time through whiteboard sessions and collaborative workshops. You want to know your users by name, meet them in person, and see the consequences of your decisions in the real world. You live within 50 miles of Denver, CO or are willing to relocate.
