We're all about delivering practical, field-tested tech, not just theories.\nWhat You’ll Do\nThe Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing our new machine shop, as well as managing a team of technicians and machinists. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and strategic thinking to optimize production processes and ensure the highest quality standards for our defense-critical components.\nMachine Shop Development:\nDesign and implement the layout, equipment selection, and operational procedures for a new, state-of-the-art machine shop.\n\nIdentify and procure necessary machinery, tools, and software to support manufacturing needs.\n\nDevelop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all machine shop equipment.\n\nTeam Leadership and Management:\nRecruit, train, and mentor a team of manufacturing technicians and machinists.\n\nOversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.\n\nConduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.\n\nProcess Optimization and Improvement:\nDevelop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.\n\nUtilize Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to identify and eliminate waste.\n\nImplement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with defense industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100).\n\nTechnical Expertise:\nProvide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing team on complex machining operations and problem-solving.\n\nCollaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.\n\nEvaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and materials.\n\nSafety and Compliance:\nEnsure all machine shop operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.\n\nDevelop and enforce robust safety protocols and training programs.\n\nWhat You’ll Need\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
