This role ensures accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting, while driving cost control initiatives and supporting operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has deep experience in preferably, automotive or related manufacturing and strong expertise in SAP, preferably SAP S/4Hana.\nKey Responsibilities\nCost Accounting & Reporting\nManage and oversee all cost accounting functions, of which parts are outsourced to a shared service center, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation\n\nMaintain and update standard costs for finished goods, parts and overhead allocations, within SAP\n\nCalculate and account for obsolescence and warranty reserves\n\nAnalyze and report production variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide actionable insights\n\nEnsure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to inventory and cost of goods sold\n\nSAP System Management\nAct as key user for SAP inventory accounting\n\nMaintain cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, and product costing structures in SAP\n\nDrive continuous improvements in SAP reporting, costing accuracy, and process efficiency\n\nSupport SAP enhancements, upgrades, and implementation projects\n\nBusiness Partnering\nPartner with Operations, Logistics and Engineering teams to understand cost drivers and support decision-making\n\nProvide financial support for new product launches, engineering changes, and other initiatives\n\nDevelop and monitor KPIs related to manufacturing efficiency, scrap, and productivity\n\nBudgeting & Forecasting\nLead COGS-related budgeting and forecasting processes\n\nMonitor actual performance against budgets and forecast deviations\n\nSupport long-term cost planning and strategic initiatives\n\nCompliance & Controls\nEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies\n\nSupport audits related to inventory and cost accounting\n\nMaintain accurate documentation and audit trails within SAP\n\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities and lead cost reduction initiatives\n\nOptimize costing processes and reporting tools\n\nDrive best practices in cost transparency and operational finance\n\nRequirements\nSkills and Attributes\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field\n\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in cost accounting within the automotive or manufacturing industry\n\nProven experience in a managerial or leadership role\n\nStrong experience with SAP (CO module required; FI/MM preferred)\n\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced SAP knowledge (product costing, cost center accounting, profitability analysis)\n\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes (BOMs, routings, standard costing)\n\nAdvanced Excel and data analysis skills\n\nExperience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP BW) is a plus\n\nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment\n\nStrong leadership and team development skills\n\nKey Competencies\nFinancial acumen and business insight\n\nAttention to detail and accuracy\n\nContinuous improvement mindset\n\nStrategic thinking with hands-on execution\n\nCross-functional collaboration\n\nWhy Zero Motorcycles\nZero Motorcycles, a leader and innovator in electric motorcycles and commercial powertrains, incorporates advanced technology, stunning design and commitment to environmental benefits.
