Zero to 1 is an IT consultancy helping organizations build AI-ready infrastructure and products to deliver real, measurable business value, while enabling rapid iteration and alignment with organizational goals.

As a Senior Product Manager - AI Transformation, you will be a central owner of our AI transformation deployments, responsible for translating complex business problems into AI products and driving them through successful delivery. Our customers engage Zero to 1 to transform meaningful parts of how their businesses operate. You will be responsible for understanding the business context and problem, defining the scope, designing the solution, determining how our platform should be applied or extended, and working closely with engineering through implementation and deployment.

This requires strong first-principles thinking. Customer requirements are important inputs, but they are not necessarily the solution. You need to understand the underlying problem, question assumptions and develop an independent view of what will create the most value. This is also an execution-intensive role. Product ownership at Zero to 1 does not end with a PRD, prototype or roadmap. A significant part of the job is coordinating dependencies, resolving open questions, reviewing builds, aligning stakeholders and doing the detailed work required to get a product successfully delivered. Our primary market is the United States, making this a highly external-facing role. You will regularly work with senior US stakeholders and should be comfortable with the communication standards, ownership and working-hour flexibility that it requires.

Responsibilities:

  • Business and Product Discovery: Develop a deep understanding of the business, function and problem being transformed. Understand how the function operates today, including its workflows, users, decisions, systems, data sources, business rules, constraints and exceptions. You will be expected to learn unfamiliar domains quickly, identify what materially matters and distinguish the underlying problem from the initially stated requirement.
  • Solution Definition and Product Design: Own the translation of the business problem into a clear product solution. Define the scope, workflows, user experience, features, data requirements, integrations and product behaviour. Determine where AI should play a role, where human judgment should remain, and how the solution should fit into the customer's broader operating environment. Prototyping is a core part of the role. You should be highly proficient at rapidly turning ideas into tangible product experiences that can be used to test thinking, explore workflows, communicate intent and drive alignment before and during development. You will own prioritisation, feature planning, releases and the overall product roadmap for the deployment.
  • Product Judgment and Advocacy: Develop an independent, well-reasoned point of view on what should be built and why. We expect our PMs to use first-principles thinking rather than simply aggregate stakeholder requests. You should be able to challenge assumptions, evaluate alternatives, make trade-offs and advocate convincingly for a direction with both customers and internal teams. This requires the confidence to hold a position when warranted and the judgment to change it when new evidence emerges.
  • Platform-Led Solutioning: Develop a deep understanding of Zero to 1's enterprise AI platform and use it as the foundation for how you design solutions. You will need to understand its capabilities, architecture, product primitives, constraints and areas of extensibility. For every deployment, you should be able to determine what can be configured using existing capabilities, what should be extended, and where a genuinely new capability is required. Zero to 1 is not a software services company rebuilding applications from scratch for every customer. PMs are expected to solve customer problems while preserving platform leverage and identify opportunities to turn deployment requirements into reusable capabilities.
  • Product and Engineering Partnership: Work closely with engineers, AI engineers, data scientists and architects throughout development. Engineering owns technical implementation, while Product owns ensuring that what is implemented solves the right problem and reflects the intended product experience. You will provide business and product context, resolve ambiguities, make trade-offs, review builds, work through edge cases and ensure individual components come together into a coherent solution. This requires enough technical fluency to engage meaningfully on data, APIs, integrations, AI capabilities, architecture and implementation constraints.
  • Delivery Ownership: Remain accountable for the product through successful delivery. This includes managing dependencies, coordinating across teams, following up on open items, ensuring decisions are made, tracking readiness, incorporating feedback, reviewing releases and addressing issues that could prevent successful deployment. We consider this an integral part of Product Management. PMs are not expected to define the solution and rely on someone else to do the detailed coordination required to get it over the line.
  • Client Leadership: Lead product discussions with customer stakeholders, including senior business and technology leaders. You will conduct discovery, present recommendations and prototypes, explain product decisions, navigate competing priorities and drive alignment on scope and direction. Given our focus on the US market, you should be comfortable working directly with US customers and maintaining meaningful overlap with their working hours when required.

What Success Looks Like:

  • You develop a strong understanding of the problem and turn ambiguity into a clear product direction.
  • You can enter unfamiliar business domains, understand how the function operates, identify what really matters, and translate that into a thoughtful and executable solution.
  • You bring strong product judgment and make ideas tangible.
  • You use first-principles thinking to challenge assumptions, form a point of view and use prototypes to explore solutions, communicate intent and drive alignment with customers and engineering. You use the Zero to 1 platform effectively.
  • You understand its capabilities and extensibility well enough to determine what should be configured, what should be extended and where new capabilities are genuinely required, while avoiding unnecessary bespoke development.
  • You get products successfully delivered.
  • You work closely with engineering, stay engaged in the details and take responsibility for the coordination, decisions, dependencies and follow-through required to move from a good product concept to a successful deployment.
  • You earn the confidence of customers and your team.
  • Senior stakeholders see you as someone who understands their business and brings sound judgment, while internal teams value the clarity, context, collaboration and ownership you bring to getting the work done.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of relevant Product Management experience, preferably working on complex B2B, enterprise or technology products, with demonstrated ownership from discovery and solution definition through development and delivery.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing or deploying AI-led products or solutions.
  • This should include meaningful involvement in taking AI use cases from problem definition through implementation, preferably in areas such as AI transformation, GenAI, agentic applications, intelligent workflows or enterprise AI.
  • We are looking for practical experience with what it takes to make AI work in real business environments, not simply familiarity with AI concepts. Strong product judgment and first-principles thinking.
  • You can deconstruct ambiguous business problems, question assumptions, understand workflows and functional context, make thoughtful trade-offs and develop an independent point of view on what should be built.
  • Strong prototyping and product design ability. You can rapidly turn ideas into high-quality product concepts, workflows and interactive prototypes that help customers and engineering teams understand, evaluate and align around a solution.
  • Strong technical and execution orientation. You work effectively with engineering teams, are comfortable engaging on data, APIs, integrations, system architecture and AI capabilities, and are willing to personally drive the coordination and follow-through required to get products delivered.
  • Executive communication and influencing ability. You can communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, advocate convincingly for your recommendations and drive alignment without relying on organisational authority.
