This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ruiru.\n\nJob Objective\n\nThe Postgraduate Coordinator is responsible for coordinating postgraduate academic programmes and supporting postgraduate students throughout their studies. The role ensures effective programme administration, adherence to University policies, and the maintenance of high academic and research standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCoordinate the admission, registration, orientation, and progression of postgraduate students.\n\nAdvise and support postgraduate students on academic matters, programme requirements, and institutional regulations.\n\nCoordinate the allocation and approval of supervisors and monitor the progress of postgraduate research.\n\nEnsure postgraduate research proposals, theses, and dissertations comply with institutional guidelines and quality standards.\n\nCoordinate proposal defenses, progress seminars, oral examinations (viva voce), and thesis examinations.\n\nLiaise with internal and external examiners to facilitate timely examination of postgraduate research.\n\nMonitor student progress and ensure timely submission of progress reports, dissertations, and theses.\n\nCoordinate curriculum review and implementation for postgraduate programmes in collaboration with academic staff.\n\nPrepare reports on postgraduate enrolment, progression, completion, and graduation.\n\nPresent postgraduate matters to departmental, faculty, and university committees as required.\n\nMaintain accurate records of postgraduate students, research activities, examinations, and graduations.\n\nLiaise with the School of Graduate Studies, departments, supervisors, and external stakeholders on postgraduate matters.\n\nEnsure compliance with institutional policies, quality assurance requirements, and postgraduate regulations.\n\nPromote research excellence and support initiatives that enhance postgraduate teaching, supervision, and research.\n\nQualifications\n\nA Bachelors & Masters degree in Information Technology or a related area from an accredited university. \n\nAt least three years working experience in a similar role at a Private University.
