Zeus was established with the singular purpose of partnering with industry-leading fire and security operators who are seeking a collaborative growth partner dedicated to inspiring and accelerating the long-term growth of business and team members.\nRole Overview\nReporting directly to the Deputy CFO, the Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting operations, including general ledger accounting, tax, accounts receivables, inventory, job costing, and internal controls. The Controller will be responsible for generating consolidated financial statements. The controller is responsible for the overall control environment and financial reporting in the organization. This includes direct leadership of corporate accounting, shared services and regional controllership, as well as partnership with Hub Presidents and local accounting resources to maintain a consistent, well-controlled financial environment across every Hub.\nKey Responsibilities\nRecruiting, managing, and developing a best-in-class corporate accounting department.\nOverseeing timely and accurate financial reporting.\nLeading the monthly close and multi-entity consolidation process, including intercompany, and driving toward a shorter, standardized close calendar across all Hubs.\nOverseeing all accounting operations; ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with US GAAP.\nDocumenting and maintaining accounting policies and procedures\nAutomating current processes to improve efficiency.\nManaging the annual financial statement audit and serving as the primary liaison to external auditors, tax advisors and valuation firms; overseeing tax compliance in partnership with outside advisors.\nCollaborating and contributing to the Executive Leadership Team to improve overall company performance.\nServing as the Company's technical accounting expert and updating the Audit Committee and Senior Management on changes to accounting rules and its impact on the business.\nWorking with Senior Management and Corporate Development on M&A integration activities including opening balance sheet accounting and 3rdparty valuations.\nPartnering and sponsoring cross-functional committees to support the organizations transformation initiative and other strategic initiatives.\nPerforming other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum BA in Accounting or Finance, MBA is highly desirable \nCPA preferred\nSignificant knowledge of GAAP\nASC 606 Revenue Recognition, ASC 842 Lease Accounting experience\n10-15+ years demonstrated progressive responsible financial and accounting leadership roles in similar size organizations\nDemonstrated ability to lead a fast-paced team with a strategic mindset towards modernizing processes while maintaining strong financial controls.\nDemonstrated track-record of improving systems and being part of a team that help modernize processes to drive a more efficient and scalable business model; ERP implementation or conversion experience is a plus.\nExperience in management reporting for a Private Equity backed organization.\nExperience in an acquisitive, multi-site environment integrating acquired businesses;
