Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.\nWhat you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer:\nResponsible for the activities related to the development and support of Printed Circuit Board Final Assembly processes including analyzing & improving quality, capacity, and capability.\nPerform root cause analysis, process capability studies, and implement process controls to ensure process performance requirements are met and sustained.\nDevelop equipment, materials, and process performance requirements, performs vendor searches and equipment evaluation to ensure adequate capability to produce quality product in required quantities at an effective cost.\nDevelops and performs Designed Experiment (DOE) and capability studies, develops process specifications, and designs & procures process tooling.\nDevelops process and equipment documentation and trains personnel on new processes, materials, and equipment. \nProvide technical support for new product launches including establishing process recipes, tooling procurement, and performing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews identifying improvements for manufacturability.\nLead new technology development with emphasis in continuous improvement and benchmarking.\nApply verbal and written communications skills in periodic and special reports/presentations both internally and with customers.\nCapable of reading mechanical CAD drawings with understanding of GD&T drafting principles.\nTimely completion of Mid-Large scale projects.\nImplements company goals within a team structure and as an individual. Actions fully in line with company goals and objectives. \nAssistance is furnished on unusual problems, and work is audited for application of sound professional judgment.\nIndependently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making any adaptations or modifications.\nPerforms work that involves common types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.\nRequires average level supervision contact from Principal Engineer and/or manager\nAll employees are expected to adhere to and promote ZF’s commitment to quality, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and zero defects in all aspects of their role.\nYour profile as a Manufacturing Engineer:\nBachelor’s Degree in an engineering field with 2+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience\nExperience with implementation and technical support of automated final assembly processes & equipment for Printed Circuit Board technologies.\nExperience in the development and execution of designed experiments (DOE’s)\nTeam leadership skills, project management skills, and the capability to communicate and influence others.\nExperience utilizing Problem solving and decision-making tools.\nExperience in the evaluation & selection of process materials, i.e. adhesives, sealants, coatings.\nExperience with supporting PFMEA and control plans.\nTraining in Green Belt / Black Belt Six Sigma with practical experience\nExperience with industrial controls such as PLC’s and Robotics\nExperience in equipment and process development, implementation, and support.\nWhat we offer:\nA supportive collaborative team environment\nAnnual Incentive Plan\nPaid Vacation\n401k Plan\nHealth Care Benefits\nPaid Holidays\nA strong diversity culture\nSupportive Employee Groups and community outreach activities\nZF does not offer visa sponsorship for this role (e.g., H-1B, TN), and candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship by ZF now or in the future.
