This role provides exposure to government trade and tariff regulations and their impact on business operations, while developing an understanding of how tariff costs are assessed, communicated, and recovered from customers. Working closely with ZF's customer-facing Sales and Account Management teams, as well as internal stakeholders across Finance, Pricing, Product Line Management, Supply Chain, and Customer Service, the intern will help collect and analyze data, prepare customer communications and recovery documentation, track recovery activities, and support the implementation of tariff recovery strategies. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in commercial operations, financial analysis, customer engagement, and cross-functional business collaboration within a global manufacturing environment.\nWhat you can look forward to as a Tariff Recovery Intern:\nSupport tariff recovery initiatives by collecting, organizing, and validating customer and pricing data.\nAssist Sales Representatives and Account Managers in preparing tariff recovery proposals, customer notifications, and supporting documentation.\nTrack tariff-related customer requests, claims, and recovery opportunities using internal systems and reporting tools.\nMaintain accurate records of tariff recovery activities, customer approvals, and implementation status.\nGenerate reports and dashboards to monitor tariff recovery progress, customer impact, and recovery performance.\nCollaborate with Sales, Pricing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to gather information and resolve customer inquiries.\nAssist in reviewing customer contracts and pricing agreements for tariff-related provisions and opportunities.\nSupport customer communications by preparing presentations, spreadsheets, and summary analyses.\nPerform other sales support and analysis duties as assigned.\nYour Profile as Tariff Recovery Intern:\nEnrolled full-time at an accredited university pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, International Business, Marketing, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.\nKnowledge of international trade, tariffs, duties, or supply chain operations preferred\nBe part of our ZF team as Tariff Recovery Intern and apply now!\nContact\nMaria Jose Orta Diaz\nDIVERSITY COMMITMENT:\nDiversity, Equity and Inclusion are more than just words for us.
