about much more than writing code.\nWith AI increasingly handling portions of implementation, we value developers who can understand business requirements, design practical technical solutions, leverage AI effectively, and take ownership of delivering reliable software.\nYou will work on established, production business applications involving complex workflows, integrations, databases, and multiple interconnected systems.\nWe are looking for someone who can think beyond an assigned ticket, understand the bigger picture, and make sound technical decisions.\nKey Responsibilities\nTranslate business requirements into clear, practical technical solutions.\n\nUnderstand existing application architecture and how changes affect other components.\n\nDesign and implement features across backend, frontend, and database systems.\n\nUse AI development tools effectively to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and problem-solving.\n\nCritically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.\n\nIdentify missing requirements, potential risks, and better implementation approaches.\n\nIndependently investigate issues and determine root causes.\n\nTake ownership of work from initial requirements through development, testing, and production release.\n\nCommunicate progress, blockers, and technical decisions clearly.\n\nTechnical Requirements\nStrong experience with C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, and REST APIs.\n\nSolid SQL and relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL.\n\nExperience with React and modern frontend development.\n\nUnderstanding of application architecture, integrations, authentication, and data flows.\n\nExperience with Git, GitHub, pull requests, and code reviews.\n\nFamiliarity with Azure or similar cloud environments.\n\nHands-on experience using AI coding assistants and agentic development tools.\n\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and testing skills.\n\nWhat Matters Most\nTechnical judgment: You can evaluate different approaches, understand tradeoffs, and recognize when a proposed solution is unnecessarily complicated or technically unsound.\nBusiness understanding: You seek to understand the actual user problem rather than simply implementing instructions literally.\nSystems thinking: You understand how applications, services, databases, and integrations fit together.\nAI proficiency: You know how to provide AI with the right context, direct its work, and validate its output rather than blindly accepting generated code.\nIndependence and ownership: You can take a loosely defined requirement, ask the right questions, propose an approach, and deliver a working solution without constant supervision.\nCommunication: You can clearly explain technical decisions, raise concerns early, and collaborate effectively with a US-based team.\nThe Ideal Candidate\nWe are not looking for someone who simply writes code quickly or relies on AI to generate solutions they don't fully understand.\n\nWe want a developer with solid engineering fundamentals who can use AI as a productivity multiplier while maintaining ownership of the technical decisions and final product.\n\nExperience working on complex, existing business applications is especially valuable.\n\nRequirements: 5+ years of professional software development experience, strong
