As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to feature development, system improvements, and technical problem-solving while continuing to grow your skills and expertise.\n\nOur Technology Stack\nRuby on Rails\nGo\nTypeScript\nReact\nRedux\nPostgreSQL\nElasticsearch\nRabbitMQ\nRedis\nGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)\nKubernetes\nDocker\nDatadog\nSentry\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance Ruby on Rails applications and backend services.\nBuild and maintain APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.\nCollaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver new features and improvements.\nParticipate in code reviews and technical discussions.\nTroubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues.\nSupport application performance, reliability, and scalability improvements.\nContribute to testing, deployment, and continuous integration processes.\nDocument technical solutions and share knowledge with the wider team.\nContinuously develop your technical skills and stay current with industry best practices.\nWhat We're Looking For\nExtensive commercial experience developing and maintaining scalable applications using Ruby on Rails in a senior engineering capacity.\nGood understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.\nStrong commercial experience with React and TypeScript, with the ability to build and maintain modern, scalable user interfaces and contribute across the full application stack.\nExposure to cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.\nExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs.\nExperience working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.\nStrong knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software.\nExperience using Git and collaborating within an Agile development environment.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders.\nProven ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges, breaking down problems and delivering scalable, maintainable solutions.\nFluent English communication skills.\n Desirable Skills & Experience\nKnowledge of Docker and containerised applications.\nFamiliarity with RabbitMQ, Redis, or Elasticsearch.\nExperience working within SaaS, e-commerce, or technology-focused businesses.\nWhat We Offer\n20 days’ annual leave plus public holidays, with additional holiday entitlement awarded for each completed year of service (up to a maximum of six extra days).
