daily warehouse operations and ensure the efficient receipt, storage, preservation, control, and distribution of materials, equipment, and spare parts.\n\nYou will work closely with Logistics, Inventory Planning, Sourcing and Procurement, Projects, Maintenance, and other departments to maintain optimal stock levels and deliver reliable warehouse services.\n\nYou will also lead warehouse improvement initiatives, strengthen inventory management procedures, develop team capabilities, and ensure compliance with company safety standards.\n\nKey responsibilities and accountabilities\n\nWarehouse and inventory management\n\nOversee daily warehouse operations, including the safe receipt, inspection, storage, handling, and issuance of materials.\n\nEnsure the timely receipt, binning, and issuance of spare parts and inventory items.\n\nMaintain accurate inventory records and safeguard stock integrity.\n\nDesign and maintain an effective warehouse layout and cataloguing system to improve accessibility and inventory control.\n\nConduct regular physical stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.\n\nMonitor stock levels and coordinate the timely replenishment of materials and supplies.\n\nDevelop and implement inventory preservation programmes to prevent damage, deterioration, and environmental exposure.\n\nEnsure that all materials match their packing lists before dispatch.\n\nCoordinate the proper packaging, transportation, storage, and placement of products.\n\nMaintain accurate records of warehouse transactions and stock movements.\n\nLogistics and supply chain coordination\n\nBuild strong relationships with end users to ensure effective parts supply and reliable service delivery.\n\nCoordinate with Logistics, Inventory Planning, and Sourcing and Procurement teams to align inventory requirements and distribution activities.\n\nWork closely with internal customers to understand their material requirements and provide responsive warehouse support.\n\nCollaborate with the Projects team to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize unnecessary stock holdings.\n\nEstablish and improve distribution channels to ensure the timely delivery of materials to end users.\n\nCoordinate warehouse logistics and ensure efficient movement of materials.\n\nMonitor distribution performance and provide regular operational updates to management.\n\nSupport maintenance planning by ensuring the availability of essential spare parts and materials.\n\nSafety and operational excellence\n\nEnsure all warehouse activities comply with Zijin’s safety policies, procedures, and operational standards.\n\nPromote safe material handling, storage, lifting, and transportation practices.\n\nIdentify operational risks and implement appropriate control measures.\n\nReview existing warehouse processes and introduce improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.\n\nMonitor warehouse service levels and identify opportunities to improve inventory management.\n\nEnsure compliance with procurement procedures, internal controls, and documentation requirements.\n\nTeam leadership and development\n\nSupervise and coordinate warehouse employees to achieve operational objectives.\n\nIdentify skills and knowledge gaps within the warehouse team.\n\nRecommend and support appropriate training and development programmes.\n\nCoach and develop direct and indirect reports to improve their technical and professional capabilities.\n\nDelegate responsibilities and monitor individual and team performance.\n\nPromote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.\n\nWhat we are looking for\n\nEducational qualifications\n\nA Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.\n\nProfessional experience\n\nA minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in warehouse operations within the mining industry.\n\nDemonstrated experience in warehouse supervision, inventory management, and materials distribution.\n\nExperience managing spare parts inventory and coordinating warehouse logistics.\n\nPrevious experience leading teams and improving warehouse processes will be an advantage.\n\nAdditional knowledge and technical skills\n\nThe ideal candidate should demonstrate:\n\nStrong knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control systems.\n\nUnderstanding of supply chain management principles and practices.\n\nKnowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Asset Planning (EAP) systems.\n\nUnderstanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) transactional processes.\n\nKnowledge of system implementation methodologies.\n\nGood understanding of maintenance planning and spare parts management.\n\nWorking knowledge of contracting practices and procurement documentation.\n\nStrong inventory and service-level management skills.\n\nKnowledge of business process improvement techniques.\n\nGood distribution and materials planning capabilities.\n\nUnderstanding of commercial demand forecasting.\n\nStrong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.\n\nBehavioral
