Zillion delivers innovative business solutions that give clients a competitive edge.\n Job Title: Accounting/Finance - Accounts Payable Associate\nWork Location: 2020 Lefebure Road, Fairfax, IA 52228\nJob Description:\nResponsible for managing the accounts payable functions including collection procedures and AP disbursement process. Also responsible for auditing to ensure all required paperwork for carrier payments and customer invoicing is received.\nResponsibilities:\nAudit carrier paperwork to ensure all required documents are present and legible and all information from the invoice reconciles with payables.\nProcess and pay carrier invoices using the appropriate software systems.\nProcess and pay vendor invoices including auditing vendor statements, obtaining approval for payment, and mailing checks. \nResearch and resolve discrepancies on vendor and carrier invoices.\nForward factoring letters and releases to payment processing company.\nGenerate reports to ensure paperwork for all loads has been received.\nEffectively communicate with vendors regarding payment status requests.\nCreate, modify and maintain documents and SOP’s electronically on Sharepoint.\nIndependent judgement and evaluation of fraudulent activity.\nProactively identify and resolve gaps in the payables supporting documentation\nDevelop guidance for technology policies to improve workflows.\n Education Requirements: High School Diploma Required. Associate Degree Preferred\nRequired Experience:\n1 year of accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting experience.\nPreferred Experience:\n2 years of accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting experience in the transportation industry.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nKnowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures.\nAbility to utilize and develop spreadsheets including the use of formulas and graphs.\nSolid computer skills with a wide variety of software programs.\nAttention to detail and high level of accuracy.\nAbility to maintain integrity of confidential business information.\nProblem solving and analytical skills. \nProficient in data entry.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment. \nKey Skills: Our people are passionate about what they do, the product they sell, and the customers they serve.
