Web Developer (Java)

The person in this position will be responsible for coding, testing, documenting, and troubleshooting Java web applications for sales and operations teams. The person in this role will work closely with other developers and support teams in the course of application development and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Become an expert in the business web application used by our sales and operations teams.
• Work with technical leads to take functional and business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
• Create working code from technical specifications.
• Unit test and system test code before release to user testing.
• Perform and participate in code reviews with peers.
• Assist the support team in troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Support deployment and other system activities.

• Able to convert functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Able to write and execute unit and system tests.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Aptitude for learning new approaches and coding techniques.
• Able to demonstrate the highest levels of customer service, technical knowledge, productivity, and professionalism.
• Strong analytical skills, technical, and business expertise.
• Required technical skills: Java, Angular or GWT front-end development, GIT, Oracle or other relational databases.
• Desired technical skills: Spring Boot/JPA/Hibernate, Kubernetes/Docker, REST or SOAP Web Services, Visual Studio.
• Experience Range: 2+ years.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of development experience for applications in a business environment OR Bachelor's and Master's degrees with 1+ years of development experience for applications in a business environment are required.
