Banking \n•Confirmation of deposits: Verify, and confirm deposits made by clients and branches across the country including transactions done through POS.\n•Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile multiple bank accounts to the cashbook. \n•Discrepancy Investigation: Identify, report, and resolve variances between deposit slips, and or proof of payments against actual bank credits.\n•Updating of cashbooks. \n\n2. Agency & Cash Accounts\n•Agency Ledger Management: Maintain separate accounts for third-party agency services.\n•Float: Monitor and replenish floats for agency business.\n•Reconcile cash accounts from branches \n•Updating of cashbook ensuring corresponding entries in appropriate folios as per the chart of accounts\n•Calculations of commissions and payments according to service level agreements. \n•Maintenance of payment vouchers ensuring that they are captured properly in the system\n\n3. Debtors\n•Invoicing: Generate client invoices and production of monthly statements \n•Maintenance and updating of debtors listing and age analysis\n•Credit Control & Collections: Follow up on overdue commercial accounts, courier clients, and property rental arrears to minimize bad debts and improve liquidity.\nDebtor Account Allocation: Match incoming EFT payments to specific invoices and reconcile customer ledgers at the end of each month.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n The Accounts Clerk performs daily financial transactions across multiple business sections, which includes postal, courier, financial, property, retail, and agency business. \n\n RESPONSIBILITIES\n1.
