The Field Service Engineer IV must be well-versed and competent in battery system product start-up and conditioning, product installation, debug, troubleshooting and testing. The role may be worked remotely from home or onsite at ZincFive headquarters in Tualatin, Oregon and reports to the Director of Global Service Operations.\nField Service Engineer IV Job Duties:\nPerform Battery Cabinet (BC) installation, start-up and conditioning, commissioning, debug and testing, as required at client locations\nTroubleshoot and failure analyze product issues via email, phone, or travel to customer sites \nWork with Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Production to promptly and efficiently resolve product issues and satisfy customer expectations and requirements\nGenerate, track, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department\nTechnical documentation of necessary processes and procedures\nProvide exceptional technical service and support to internal and external customers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction\nConduct training and refreshers on Battery Cabinet (BC) Systems to Service and Support personnel, customers, and 3rd party service providers\nTravel as needed (up to 75%) within in the U.S. and internationally\nJob Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, electro-chemistry, or equivalent experience in related field\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience with Battery/Battery Management System and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) in the Data Center Market\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience working with and around high voltage equipment in indoor/outdoor industrial environments\nSoftware/Firmware testing/programming experience\nDeep knowledge of electrical/electronic schematics and understanding mechanical designs\n Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, AC/DC power analyzers, digital multimeters, electrical/electronic loads\nAbility and experience providing customer-facing support while remaining professional and calm in high stress situations\nExperience traveling and managing travel expenses and schedule\nExperience training technicians, external customers, and 3rd party service providers\nExperience with Data Center network and communication systems\nDemonstrate teamwork, dependability, high integrity, and a solid work ethic\nAbility to learn and adapt quickly\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision onsite and in the field\nExcellent computer skills including MS Office Suite, Visio, SAP, or other ERP programs \nPreferred Experience/Skills:\nWork from home in the Mid-Atlantic region\nExperience working with and understanding various battery chemistries \nKey Competencies:\nAttention to detail\nCommunication skills - verbal and written\nCustomer service oriented\nTeamwork\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\nWork involves frequent bending, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting to 35 pounds over extended periods of time\nRequires close visual acuity and the ability to distinguish color and the ability to hear\nOutdoor harsh climate, lab, highly secured data centers, office, and manufacturing environments\nTravel domestically and internationally by air, auto, bus, or train\nAbility to wear required PPE on the face and body\nSalary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. \nIn addition, the successful candidate for this position will become eligible for a comprehensive set of outstanding benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, paid sick time, paid time off for vacation, paid holidays, paid community service days, professional/personal learning program, and applicable state/federal paid family leave. \nZincFive is committed to employing a diverse workforce.
