You’ll help mature our risk frameworks, strengthen oversight and reporting, and turn complex risk and regulatory requirements into practical guidance that helps the business make well informed decisions.\nWhat you’ll own\nSupport effective governance across key risk and compliance forums, providing clear, timely reporting and insights that enable informed decision making\nAnalyse incidents, issues and complaints to identify trends, material weaknesses and emerging risks, translating your findings into practical recommendations\nHelp evolve Zip’s enterprise risk and compliance policies, frameworks and procedures, while providing Line 2 oversight of their implementation and effectiveness\nStrengthen the governance of key risk and compliance artefacts, helping ensure frameworks, policies and standards remain current and effective\nBuild, implement and monitor Zip Australia’s Third Party Risk Management program, providing practical guidance to business leaders and first line teams\nOversee third party risk assessments and performance, identifying emerging risks and advising on appropriate remediation\nDevelop meaningful measures and reporting that provide visibility of third party risk performance, compliance and effectiveness\nMonitor evolving regulatory expectations relating to third party risk and help translate change into practical actions for the business\nSupport Zip’s operational resilience capability through critical operations assessments, disruption tolerance considerations, scenario analysis and testing\nContribute to business continuity and crisis management frameworks, including oversight, monitoring and continuous improvement\nDeep dive into incidents and emerging risk events when required, bringing structure, critical thinking and a strong risk lens to complex situations\nAct as a trusted risk advisor to first line teams, building strong relationships and helping teams understand how good risk management supports sustainable commercial outcomes\nIdentify opportunities to improve the way we manage risk and compliance, including thoughtful use of AI, automation and new tools\nWhat you’ll bring to the team\nZipsters work on a broad range of initiatives, and our skills and experiences all look a little different. What really matters to us is that you’re a great fit with our four Values, and have a desire to learn and grow.\nSo whether you meet some or all of the desirable attributes below, we’d still love to hear from you:\nSignificant experience across enterprise risk, operational risk or compliance within financial services, fintech or another highly regulated environment\nStrong practical knowledge of risk governance, including risk committees, senior stakeholder engagement and regulatory interactions\nExperience designing, implementing or operating enterprise risk or third party risk management frameworks\nPractical knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management\nStrong understanding of risk and control concepts, regulatory expectations and contemporary risk management practices\nExperience conducting risk assessments and control reviews, alongside incident, issue and risk reporting\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the confidence to work with complex information and data to identify meaningful insights\nClear and influential written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing risk reporting and presentations for senior stakeholders\nThe ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities in a fast moving environment\nRelevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business, law or a related discipline\nA mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.\nAn aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
