Best in Business, and LinkedIn Top Startups.\nYour Role\nWe're looking for a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to oversee our US, international and EOR payrolls. You'll lead the team, approve payroll before each submission and handle the most complex pay, tax and compliance issues.\nYou Will\nReview gross-to-net results and pre and post payroll reconciliations for each run, and process off-cycle payments and final pay.\n\nBuild the payroll roadmap for system, provider and process improvements, and bring recommendations to Accounting leadership.\n\nTrain and develop the payroll team, review their work and act as the escalation point for complex pay issues.\n\nManage US multi-state payroll tax registrations, agency notices and amendments, and quarter-end and year-end filings.\n\nManage Canadian payroll across provinces, including statutory deductions and remittances, ROEs and T4 reporting.\n\nCoordinate with EOR and in-country providers on international payroll and local compliance questions.\n\nPartner with Equity on ISO exercise reporting and NSO payroll withholding and reporting, including international equity awards.\n\nWork with People Operations, Legal, Accounting and Equity on pay policies and the employee data and approvals that feed payroll.\n\nPrepare payroll journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis for the monthly close.\n\nReconcile benefit and 401(k) deductions and remittances, and support year-end 401(k) work and payroll audits.\n\nDocument payroll procedures, maintain controls and automate manual steps.\n\nRun provider implementations and migrations, and resolve service and data issues.\n\nOversee payroll setup for new countries or entities.\n\nQualifications\n8+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years of multi-country payroll with external providers.\n\nHands-on experience with US multi-state and multi-province Canadian payroll.\n\nStrong knowledge of US payroll tax, including quarter-end and year-end filings.\n\nKnowledge of Canadian payroll requirements and provincial differences, and when to bring in local specialists.\n\nExperience with at least one payroll provider implementation or migration.\n\nPayroll accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, audit support and equity withholding.\n\nExperience managing payroll staff and handling confidential pay matters under tight deadlines.\n\nStrong Excel and data analysis skills, and experience working with People Operations, Accounting, Equity and providers.\n\nNice to Haves\nYou've worked with EOR arrangements and HRIS-to-payroll integrations.\n\nYou've used Paylocity and NetSuite; familiarity with BambooHR, Carta or Pebl is helpful.\n\nYou hold a CPP, PCP or CPM certification.\n\nThe salary range for this role is $142,000 - $210,000.
