This position serves as the primary point of contact for contracted services, including Install and Repair (I&R) vendor partners, service wire vendor partners, locates, and fiber network maintenance. Essential\nDuties and\nResponsibilities: The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of duties performed by the employee and not intended to reflect all duties performed. Vendor Contract and Performance Management\nManage the procurement and day-to-day performance of Install and Repair, Locates, and Service Wire drop vendors.\nMonitor vendor partner performance and ensure compliance with contract terms, local and state construction requirements, and applicable codes.\nEstablish and maintain professional, effective relationships with vendors. Quality, Safety, and Compliance\nInspect field work for quality and timeliness to support customer satisfaction.\nPerform site inspections to verify quality control and safety compliance. Financial, Reporting, and Project Controls\nEnsure accurate billing and timely payment for services performed.\nPrepare and update weekly and ad hoc reports as required.\nManage projects in alignment with approved budgets and plans. Operational Coordination and Response\nResolve issues as they arise or quickly engage the appropriate resources to minimize schedule, quality, and service impacts.\nCoordinate with Dispatch and Activity Management regarding system access, badging and building access, and work schedules.\nMaintain adequate supply points and inventory to support installation demand.\nParticipate in the assigned on-call rotation.\nEstablish after-hours support for outages and damage response through a rotation with FDC Construction teams. Collaboration, Training, and Business Support\nBuild strong working relationships with Vendor Partner Managers and internal teams to promote effective collaboration.\nDevelop a training path for Vendor Partner Managers to ensure technicians are properly trained on Ziply Fiber tools, including CXP and NetBox.\nPerform other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization. Required\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience maintaining outside plant (OSP) facilities and supporting daily Install and Repair work involving fiber and copper, locates, and service wire.\nDemonstrated experience managing projects to budget.\nDemonstrated ability to meet contract deliverables.\nIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to create pivot tables.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively across all levels and functions of the organization.\nStrong conflict-resolution skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.\nKnowledge of industry safety practices and procedures.\nAbility to read and interpret Install and Repair, Locates, and Service Drop Wire documentation.\nFlexibility to address ad hoc duties as business needs arise.\nKnowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) is required.\nAbility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation.\nMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.\nMust complete a pre-employment drug screening.
