Earning Your Trust: We build trust through clear, honest, human communication.\nJob Summary The Director, Corporate Development & Strategy plays a critical leadership role in advancing Ziply Fiber’s inorganic growth and corporate strategy agenda, operating at the center of the company’s most consequential executive and Board-level decisions. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy, this role supports the development and execution of the company’s M&A, partnership, and investment strategy. The Director leads complex transactions and strategic initiatives, driving end-to-end execution from evaluation through closing, while partnering closely with executive leadership to inform key business decisions. This role requires deep deal execution experience, strong business judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes across the organization. Corporate Development - M&A, Investments & Partnerships\nBuild and manage a pipeline of acquisition, investment, partnership, and other inorganic growth opportunities aligned with company strategy.\nConduct market research to identify and evaluate potential targets and partners.\nDevelop strategic rationale and investment thesis for prospective transactions.\nPrepare detailed business cases, including operating plans, value creation opportunities, and integration considerations.\nLead cross-functional due diligence efforts in collaboration with Finance, Legal, Operations, Technology, Construction, and external advisors.\nPerform financial modeling, valuation, and scenario/sensitivity analyses to support decision-making and negotiations.\nSupport transaction execution through signing and closing and assist with post-close integration planning.\nPrepare materials for internal investment committee and Board-level approvals.\nPartner with the Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy to shape origination priorities and proactively source high-value M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities.\nServe as deal lead on complex transactions, managing negotiations, structuring, and execution in coordination with the Vice President and senior leadership.\nProvide recommendations on transaction structuring, risk assessment, and value creation planning to support executive decision-making. Corporate Strategy & Analysis\nFrame complex, ambiguous strategic questions into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and structured work plans.\nBuild financial and decision-support models to evaluate strategic options and inform leadership decisions.\nDevelop executive-level presentations that communicate insights, recommendations, and implications with clarity and confidence.\nPartner with internal business leaders to build alignment and drive execution of strategic priorities.\nSupport translation of enterprise strategy into actionable corporate development priorities, investment themes, and strategic initiatives.\nEvaluate and prioritize strategic growth opportunities, including new markets, capabilities, and business models. Strategic Growth\nSupport Ziply Fiber’s fiber-first expansion strategy through disciplined evaluation of acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and other growth structures.\nAnalyze competitive market dynamics and translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations.\nStrengthen internal processes, tools, and templates for opportunity evaluation, financial modeling, diligence, and integration planning.\nDrive long-term inorganic growth strategy aligned with company objectives and market opportunities.\nIdentify and prioritize strategic growth platforms, including new markets, capabilities, and business models. Operating Rhythm & Team\nEstablish and maintain a disciplined operating cadence across active workstreams, including milestones, risks, decisions, and next steps.\nMaintain high-quality documentation and repeatable processes to support institutional learning and scalability.\nMentor and develop cross-functional team members and contribute to building a high-performing Corporate Development and Strategy function.\nSupport the Vice President in building and scaling the Corporate Development & Strategy function, including contributing to prioritization, resourcing, and capability development.\nHelp establish and reinforce governance frameworks for investment decisions, diligence processes, and post-transaction accountability.\nLead cross-functional teams and workstreams, ensuring alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives. Required\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.\nTen (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic finance. Proven track record of leading end-to-end M&A transactions, including deal execution, negotiation support, and closing.\nDeep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.\nDemonstrated experience influencing executive leadership and contributing to enterprise-level strategy.\nStrong leadership capability with experience leading cross-functional teams and complex initiatives.\nExceptional communication skills with ability to influence at the executive and Board level.
