This role requires deep technical expertise combined with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering resilient, secure, and scalable systems.\nThis position operates with high autonomy, setting strategic direction for DevOps, IT, and Security functions while ensuring alignment with company priorities, regulatory requirements, product engineering function, and operational excellence standards.\nResponsibilities\nLeadership & Strategy\nGrow and lead a high-performing organization across DevOps, IT, and Security.\n\nDefine and execute strategic roadmaps aligned with company objectives, technology priorities, and regulatory requirements.\n\nEstablish a results-driven culture focused on measurable outcomes, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\n\nPartner with senior leadership (VP+) to align on long-term strategy.\n\nDevOps & Infrastructure\nGuide and oversee DevOps architecture.\n\nDrive adoption of modern DevOps practices with a focus on developer self-service.\n\nEnsure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities across all systems.\n\nOptimize cost, performance, system resilience, and developer productivity.\n\nIT Operations\nDirect IT operations including end-user support, device management, SaaS administration, and corporate systems.\n\nEnsure efficient, secure, and scalable IT service delivery across the organization.\n\nStandardize processes, implement tools, and automate for quality and efficiency.\n\nSecurity & Compliance\nOwn and evolve the company’s security posture.\n\nEnsure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and internal policies.\n\nLead risk management and vulnerability management programs.\n\nPartner with product engineering teams to embed security practices in their work.\n\nOperational Excellence\nReport key metrics (e.g. core infra uptime, security posture, incidents).\n\nUse data to drive continuous improvements.\n\nIdentify and solve complex operational and technical challenges autonomously.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with other teams to support company initiatives with a helpful spirit.\n\nFoster a culture of transparency, accountability, and constructive communication across departments while advising on infrastructure, IT, and security matters.\n\nPeople Leadership\nSet clear priorities aligned with department and company strategy.\n\nMentor and develop contributors and leaders.\n\nProvide regular, actionable feedback and performance management.\n\nPromote a structured, results-oriented way of working across teams.\n\nServe as a role model in problem-solving, collaboration, and conflict resolution.\n\nAnticipate hiring needs and advocate for headcount, providing justification, job descriptions, and implement hiring practices for your area within the Technology department hiring and interviewing framework.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\n10+ years of experience in DevOps, IT, and/or Security roles, with proven experience at a director level or higher.\n\nDemonstrated success leading and scaling multi-functional teams (DevOps, IT, Security).\n\nDeep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and infrastructure as code.\n\nStrong understanding of security posture frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management practices.\n\nExperience managing complex systems and solving moderate-to-high complexity operational challenges.\n\nAbility to operate with high autonomy and drive strategic initiatives end-to-end.\n\nStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nExperienced people manager and growth coach.\n\nPreferred\nExperience in regulated environments (e.g., fintech, healthcare, or similar).\n\nImportant Applicant Information\nWhile many of our interviews are conducted virtually, all applicants should be prepared to potentially meet in person as part of the process.\n\nAs a participating employer, we will use E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.\n\nPlease note that we are currently only hiring candidates who reside in the following states: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.
