In addition, the candidate will manage the compliance and audits with US personal property and the identification, negotiation and US compliance for indirect tax credit and incentives.\nResponsibilities:\nInterface with leadership, internal & external customers, Information Technology and other key stakeholders within the company to provide highly effective and efficient end-to-end processes.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline and automate indirect tax compliance function and ensure compliance of sales and use tax, property tax, and business license obligations by co-sourcing relationships with external advisors.\nManage implementation of sales and use tax software including coordination with external advisors and internal software users.\nOversight of sales and use, personal property and real estate tax audits.\nLead the implementation of processes as a result of new business practices, mergers and acquisitions, or changing tax legislation.\nResearch and communicate proposed and enacted changes in sales and use tax laws and direct any updates and/or tax system changes, including impact to reserves (ASC 450)\nWork with business units to improve tax systems and resolve tax disputes.\nReview indirect tax account reconciliations.\nCollaborate with external auditor to comply with year-end audit inquires; \nPartner with business leaders, tax, finance, treasury, legal, and external advisers on various indirect tax questions and tax planning matters; \nManage and lead a team of 1-2 professionals, and\nAssist with special projects, as needed. \nQualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience):\nEducation\nMasters Degree in Taxation (preferred) or undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent.\nCPA preferred. \nMaster's in taxation and/or J.D. a plus. \n\nExperience\n7+ years of relevant indirect experience.\nProficient tax and non-tax software skills a must. \nExperience with SAP S4 and Vertex are a plus.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, analytical and project management skills required.\nExperience with handling and negotiating US indirect tax audits.\nExperience in identifying, analyzing and communicating complicated tax issues in terms of impact on business operations.\nAbility to successfully manage and lead teams and people\nSkills\nStrong analytical, technical, and technology skills. \nStrong knowledge of indirect tax process.\nAbility to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nAbility to identify and communicate a broad range of tax opportunities and risks.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with cross functional teams.\nAbility to embrace change and be flexible to changing business needs.\nWell-organized with an attention to detail.\nStrong process and project management skills. \n\nThe U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 to $160,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range for new hire salaries for the position.
