Do not apply for this role if you will need ZOLL immigration sponsorship (e.g. H1B, TN, STEM, OPT, etc.) either now or in the future.\nJob Summary\nThe Cost Accountant is responsible for maintaining detailed standard costs in the Company's ERP system while providing COGS Variance analysis, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and support various projects related to inventory and cost.\nEssential Functions\nCreate monthly costs entries for General Ledger closings and reconciliations.\n\nPrepare account analysis reports pertaining to cost and inventory including postings, balancing, and reconciliation to the General Ledger and subsidiary accounts.\n\nRun WO/MO weekly, research variance and fix if needed.\n\nRun weekly PPV, Yield, Rework, Floor stock, scrap, revalue std, INV Adj and analyze variances.\n\nRun GL vs perpetual pre close and post close, reconcile, research, reclass or fix WO.\n\nMonth-End: Reconcile INV Batch, INV in transit (BTP JE), download and prepare WIP Accrual JE and INV usage tax JE.\n\nDownload, analyze INV receipts report and prepare Material OH Reclass.\n\nVariance Scrap Reclass and Expire items scrap reclass to E&O.\n\nMonitor weekly fluctuations and activity regarding inventory transactions and COGS variances.\n\nAnalyze Freight in/out, material usage for warranty and outside service charges.\n\nWork with Operations to review usage adjustment, and timely disposition.\n\nTrack and reconcile units used for evaluations, outside vendor and prepare quarterly E&O review.\n\nPrepare and analyze manufacturing department expenses for monthly reviews.\n\nMonitor inventory transactions, analyze inventory reports, and review standard costs.\n\nWork extensively with manufacturing personnel in order to control/analyze standard costs for materials, labor and overhead.\n\nWork with manufacturing to collect data for materials, labor and overhead.\n\nEstablish, input and control financial inventory flow and standard reevaluations.\n\nManage inventory tracking, inventory control and direct labor cost and absorption analysis.\n\nComply with all policies and standards.\n\nAny other job responsibilities as assigned by management and subject to modification.\n\n Required/Preferred Education and Experience\nBachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field required\n\n5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance including 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment with Standard Cost experience required\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nAbility to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously and manage multiple deadlines\n\nExcellent follow-through and meticulous eye for detail\n\nStrong team player willing to share responsibility to accomplish goals\n\nComputer skills, including Excel, are required.\n\nGreat Plains/Dynamics preferred, but not required\n\nPreferred Languages\nEnglish - Advanced\n\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nStanding - Occasionally\n\nWalking - Occasionally\n\nSitting - Constantly\n\nTalking - Occasionally\n\nHearing - Occasionally\n\nRepetitive Motions - Frequently\n\nZOLL is a fast-growing company that operates in more than 140 countries around the world.
