Tasks and responsibilities expected for this role include those captured by lower role specific levels.\nThis role involves working closely with engineers, production technicians, and operations teams to support multiple programs and value streams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead aircraft assembly execution for a production line, cell, or program.\nOwn workmanship standards and standard work adherence.\nCoordinate build sequencing, task prioritization, and flow within the cell.\nPartner with manufacturing engineering and quality on process improvements.\nSupport production readiness, rate increases, and design transitions.\nLead root cause investigations for workmanship-related issues.\nTrain, coach, and develop aircraft assembly personnel.\nEnsure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and internal quality systems.\nResponsibilities (Level III):\nAssemble complex aircraft structures and multi-system installations.\nExecute first-article and early production builds within released configurations.\nInterpret and resolve documentation discrepancies with manufacturing engineering.\nPerform detailed in-process inspections and support quality investigations.\nIdentify recurring build issues and recommend process improvements.\nMentor and support Aircraft Assembler I-II personnel.\nMaintain consistent workmanship across shifts or cells.\nResponsibilities (Level II):\nAssemble aircraft structures and sub-assemblies to released engineering drawings.\nPerform drilling, reaming, fastening, torquing, and sealing operations independently.\nInstall production-released mechanical and system components.\nRoute and secure tubing, hoses, and cables per defined standards.\nConduct in-process inspections and identify non-conformances.\nMaintain accurate as-built documentation and part traceability via MES.\nExecute standard work to meet takt time and schedule requirements.\nResponsibilities (Level I):\nAssemble basic aircraft components and sub-assemblies using released work instructions.\nPerform drilling, fastening, and hardware installation using approved tools.\nInstall basic brackets, panels, and structural components.\nFollow torque, sealant, and bonding procedures as directed.\nPerform visual self-inspection of completed work.\nAccurately complete work instructions and required production documentation.\nMaintain FOD, safety, and quality standards.\nSupport senior assemblers as assigned.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n7+ years of aircraft/aerospace/automotive manufacturing experience.\nDemonstrated production leadership without formal people management.\nStrong understanding of production risk, quality, and rate balance.\nStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTechnical degree or equivalent.\nPay range for this role\n$31—$35 USD\nWhat's in it for you:\nBenefits: \nCompetitive total compensation package \nComprehensive benefit package options include medical, dental, vision, life, and more.\n401k with company-match \n3 weeks of paid time off each year\n40 hours of sick time\n12 annual company holidays\nWhy Join Zone 5 Technologies?\nInnovative Environment: Work on cutting-edge technology that is shaping the future of defense and aerospace.\nCollaborative Culture: Join a team of passionate professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.\nCareer Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.\nIf you are passionate about unmanned aircraft technology and want to be a part of a dynamic and growing company, we would love to hear from you.
