The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing our web client's audio capabilities, ensuring high-quality audio performance across various platforms and devices. This position requires a strong understanding of audio signal processing, web technologies, and user experience design to create immersive and seamless audio experiences for our users.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain audio processing and streaming features for the web client.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio functionalities with other web services and features.\nOptimize audio performance for low latency, high fidelity, and efficiency across different browsers and devices.\nImplement audio effects, noise suppression, echo cancellation, and other DSP (Digital Signal Processing) techniques.\nStay up-to-date with emerging web audio technologies and standards to continuously improve our audio capabilities.\nDebug and resolve audio-related issues reported by users or identified through testing.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with industry best practices.\nParticipate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and mentor junior engineers.\nWhat we're looking for:\nRequires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Signal Processing, Software Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent. Must have 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupation. Must have 4 years of experience in the following:\n4 years of experience with Software engineering with a focus on audio applications, preferably in a web environment;\n4 years of experience with web technologies (JavaScript, Web Audio API);\n4 years of experience with C++ (Web Assembly);\n4 years of experience with Audio signal processing, codecs, and audio formats;\n4 years of experience with Real-time audio processing and streaming protocols;\n4 years of experience with Cross-browser development and debugging;\n4 years of experience with WebRTC and developing real-time communication applications; and\n4 years of experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.\nTelecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Position does not require domestic or international travel.\nZoom Communications, Inc.\n#LI-DNI\n#Ind0\nSalary Range or On Target Earnings:\nMinimum:\n$221,374.00Maximum:\n$255,400.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.\nNote: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.\nWe also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.\nWays of Working\nOur structured hybrid approach is centered around our offices and remote work environments.
