As part of Zoom, we’re aligned with a mission to help people connect, collaborate, and thrive-transforming how businesses innovate and employees interact.\nResponsibilities\nDesigning and Developing Robust Backend Services: Architect and create scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using PHP and Laravel, ensuring optimal functionality and security.\n\nBuilding Modular and Efficient Systems: Design and implement efficient, modular, and reusable front-end and back-end systems to streamline development and enhance maintainability.\n\nMaintaining Real-Time Data Feeds and APIs: Provide ongoing support for real-time data feeds and APIs, ensuring timely and accurate data rendering to meet user requirements.\n\nOptimising Code and Implement Libraries: Identify, implement, and manage code libraries to reduce repetitive code, improve application design, and enhance overall software performance.\n\nEnhancing Software Performance: Utilize advanced code optimization techniques to boost the robustness, efficiency, and performance of software solutions.\n\nCollaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Product Designers, Customer Success Managers, and other Software Engineers to deliver user-centric, compelling products.\n\nEngaging in Development Processes: participate in design discussions, conduct thorough code reviews, and perform detailed code analysis to ensure high-quality software delivery.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nPossess excellent skills in programming languages such as PHP (with Laravel Framework) and HTML with exposure working on React framework.\n\nHave experience of at least 5 years in a software development role and working on hosted web application/ SaaS.\n\nUnderstand OO programming fundamentals, unit testing, design patterns and web app design principles\n\nPossess knowledge of database design, performance and SQL\n\nPossess understanding of versioning tools and contribute in feature planning and designing\n\nHave experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.\n\nHave the ability to contribute to feature planning and system design discussions.\n\nHave experience in React & React Native; AWS Lambda or Firebase; OAuth or JWT; performance optimization and Redis; Jest, PHPUnit, or Selenium would be advantageous.\n\nDemonstrate a high level of maturity using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent . Leveraging these tools effectively as part of day-to-day development workflow is expected.\n\nSalary Range or On Target Earnings:\nMinimum:\n€69,200.00\nMaximum:\n€110,700.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.\nNote: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.\nWe also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.\nWays of Working\nOur structured hybrid approach is centered around our offices and remote work environments.
